Good for the price
These are easy to engrave on a CNC router. You don’t need to engrave them deeply, just a fraction of a mm is sufficient to catch the light. Because the engraving is so shallow, it is important to have them level in your machine so that the engraving is consistent across the surface and not deeper on one end or the other. One easy way to achieve this – and to hold the acrylic in place all in one go – is to screw a piece of particleboard (or whatever you have handy) onto the table and then cut the shape of the acrylic down into the particleboard so you have a recessed pocket that you can then set the acrylic blank down into. If the pocket is precise enough, you only need to apply some gentle downward force on the acrylic using a clamp or two since the pocket prevents the acrylic from sliding around. This is what I did and it worked well. It also makes it very easy to know that the acrylic is perfectly aligned with the x and y, since it just drops into a pocket that you know was cut perfectly in line with x and y.I am sure there is a combination of feed/speed that cuts acrylic without leaving fuzz, but rather than waste time looking for it, I just set everything fairly fast and then ran each job twice. The first pass left a lot of fuzz. The second pass (same feed, depth, everything) would remove all the fuzz left by the first. I then washed them with dish soap and water to remove fingerprints.Some other reviews have pointed out that they are not all the same thickness and that is definitely true, there is a range of thicknesses. That is kind of a pain as you may need to re-zero every time, otherwise the slight variations in depths can make the lines in your design thicker or thinner (if cutting with a v bit). If you have an electronic probe it is probably best to just probe the z off the top of each piece of acrylic since they are all different thicknesses. Even though they are not all the same thickness, they all fit into the bases just fine and were held firmly by the base.Besides not all being the same thickness, they are also not super flat. Sometimes there are noticeable valleys in the middle of them where if you are engraving only a fraction of a mm deep, you will hit a valley in the acrylic and suddenly not be engraving at all, or barely leaving a tiny faint scratch. Which is not ideal, but at this inexpensive price point, is probably to be expected. In this case I would just drop the z slightly and run the job again, which was good enough for what I was making.The bases work well and have some cool lighting effects. Also, since they all respond to the same remote, if you line them all up in a row and then sweep the remote down them, you can get some cool color gradients going down the whole row which makes it appear they are all synced up.Overall despite the imperfections, they worked well for what I wanted to make and seemed to be a good value for the price I paid.

Excellent for the price
These are neat items. They are made of thin plastic and as other reviews state, the acrylic comes in varying widths which makes them rest is the base diagonally. Yet still, it laser engraves well and does the job. I will purchase again.

Great color and quality for DYI projects
These were great for Drone Team Award Night. I was able to burn on them using my Ortur Pro Laser (have to remove film and do thin coat of black paint). The range of colors is perfect for any event. Love the battery or plug option to power with remote.
