Cats don’t get bored with it
I had a cat who had FIP. Once she was “cured” she became a pester pants to the other cats. I got the lasers and those worked for a while. Then, I needed to come up with something new. I tried quite a few toys, but they all like this one a lot. The poor toy never stays in the place were I put it because the cats knock it all over.The battery lasts probably 5 days, and it will randomly turn in and do its thing to appease rhe cat gods, but the remote doesn’t seem to work any more. I will try to replace the battery, but really I don’t need the remote since it will turn itself on ever so often.The feather that it comes with… my cats have slimed it pretty good and yanked one of the feather pieces off the first one. I haven’t put the second one on yet, but it does come with a backup.I had considered buying a second one and may still do that.

Had high hopes but this time instead of the feather moving too fast it is moving too slow.
I had high hopes for this. My one-year-old male cat needs constant stimulus when he is wake. And I can only personally give him so much attention. When he was younger, I got him other toys that were very similar to this one. Except it had additional stuff on it. But he began ignoring it. And he really didn’t do much with the little feather that goes in and out, but I always felt like it was going too fast for him. Same thing with the laser. All the toy laser’s that were automatic always had the laser’s going too fast. He would begin to follow it and then give up pretty quick. He would constantly lose it. I wanted one that went slower with both of these things. When this one came out, I noticed they had the same feather toy, but it was going slower like I wanted. I picked the red because he had never had a toy that was red before, and I was interested in seeing if that made any difference or not. It was easy to charge with the included usb cable. It has a on and off button. This toy does two things. It has a laser that goes in a circle, and it has the feather toy that pops in and out. So, it is simpler than others. But I thought this could be a good thing. And with this one there is a remote control that the others didn’t have. I liked that. I was sick of constantly having to get up and fix something or turn thigs on and off. The remote however, only has one function. It just made it go on and off. You still have to go up to the toy to adjust the laser. Or have just the feather move. There is a button on it where you can adjust the laser a bit but not very much. But there isn’t anything to adjust the speed of the feather going in and out of the toy. And this time I was having the opposite trouble with it. This time instead of going too fast it was going entirely too slow. Maybe a baby kitten would like it. I don’t know. But my cat unfortunately showed no interest in it. And the laser has always been something he isn’t too into. But again, I think it is because the laser is always moving too fast. They didn’t slow this part down. Just the feather. And he seems to show no special interest with the color red. Bummer! I will continue to turn it on when he gets really bored and starts crying. I have only tested it one evening for a couple of hours. Maybe he will feel differently today. I am hoping that he will at least watch it for a little bit. We will see. But I have a feeling I will be giving this away.

Our cats fell In love with this toy the moment I unplugged it from our toy charging station. Our 3 younger cats followed me to the spot I picked out for it & when I turned it on, the rapid & random lasers had our youngest male going insane & kept him out of my chair all day so I could work. The battery life incredible. Cats tired & walk away? They return, tap it to reactivate in & get back to the fun. Always worth mentioning, I had a question about this toy, contacted the seller & they provided the fastest and most incredible service.

A bit underwhelming
Not terrible but this toy does leave a little to be desired. The cats do play with it but not as excitedly as other similar toys we have.The feather holes seem misalligned a bit so the feathers always fold over and never fully extend out of the hide hole. There are replacement feathers though they are a bit of a pain to swap out.It has a sensor activated mode so the cats can turn it on when they want and it auto shuts off to save battery. We go about a week or so between charges. Also comes with a remote so you can turn it on and off from a distance.The laser and snowflake light only shines a few inches away from the toy and are fixed, so they go in a circular pattern. I also find that they don’t turn on unless I manually turn it on (not part of the sensor on setting I guess?)And the horn shapes on top are really painful to step on. They serve zero purpose so not sure why they are on it other than to hurt me!
