My chicks loved them
I used these in my brooder for my baby chicks. They loved them. NO WAY are they large enough for pullets or full grown chickens. They were easy to assemble and held up well. Cleaning them took a little soaking but they cleaned up nice in the end.

They didn’t last long, hard to clean and…..
We had 12 chicks earlier this year so I bought them a few of these to sit and play on…one of them came with traditional screws and they other came with those butterfly twist screws!!So…. the traditional screw on one doesn’t scree on all the way as you can see in my pictures all the screws stick out even just a little…. BUT… it’s holding on better than the butterfly screw one.- the butterfly screw on came undone on its own and we ended up losing a lot of the screws… it’s not like the chicks could have done it, they just over the course of 5 months of having it just started disappearing!! From the start they would come loose and we would have to tighten them. As you can see in my picture it is now useless cause we can’t find the missing screws….Both are very hard to clean because it’s unfinished soft wood with lots of grooves… we do shoot them down with water but let’s face it, chicks aren’t the cleanest so I did expect these to get dirty… I was hoping they could at least clean of better!!The chicks did love it!!! They would stand on it, play on it and sleep on it!! Even the hen would go on it once in awhile.For the amount I spent I would say we got our monies worth I just would not ever buy them again. We are going to build our own more reliable ones next spring when we have more chicks to house!!!We ended up tossing these….. they were a one time use for our chicks…. honestly it’s not a bad thing, I just can’t see spending the money to buy them again….. it was not a total loss but it’s definitely not something I’d go buy again.IF i would suggest something it would be, they not use those butterfly screws anymore cause they sucked!!! Traditional screws is more ideal!!!

Happy with purchase
Although they didn’t come with assembly instructions they were easy to figure out. Just a little hint though- the perch that is put together using the screws is easier if you put one side together first and then attach the other side. Don’t tighten the screws down all the way until you have both sides started. The one that has the nuts doesn’t matter. I got my order in a timely fashion but I would use this seller again.

Happy Chickens
I bought these as a perch for my full grown chickens. Even though they are made for chicks, they work perfectly for my hens.It took less than 10 minutes to get both perches put together. I did use my drill on a low setting, which helped with the time.The only minor negative was that it did not come with instructions. I wound up looking on my previous purchase to put together. Was simple!

What a bunch of crap!
Was in love with the idea of giving my baby chicks some items to play on, but that sadly didn’t happen. First, the one with the wing nuts was missing 2 wing nuts so I would have to go without one of the bars. Not ideal, but I could’ve lived with it. So, when it came to the second one, I made sure i had enough screws…They sent 2 extra of those. Isn’t that nice of them? Not! They were suppose to wing nuts. And, although I wasn’t thrilled about having to screw (with provided Allen wrench) all the bars on, I was going to make the best of it. Until the frame SPLIT when putting on the 2nd bar on one side!! I didn’t even have the bar half way screwed on!! Sure, I could wood glue it, but considering it split right where the screw hole is, and I was only on my 2nd bar on one side, I’m not taking the chance it won’t happen in another spot. Returning and looking for something more durable. What a waste of time and effort just to have to send back.

Great for baby chicks
Easy to assemble, set worked great for our 14 baby chicks until they out grew them and if you have raised chicks you know that’s fast… but the price is spot on for that!

Broke before it was even together
The one with the full opening on the sides broke in multiple places when we were putting it together. The one with the three holes on the side was fine though. just a lot of money when only one of them works. Unfortunately we couldn’t ship it back because we already put the one on the pen and the chickens had already used it. Since it is raw wood it didnt clean up or wipe off well.

No instructions
This didn’t come with any instructions. If you are like me we need instructions! The wood was also cracking and splitting as I was trying to put it together. I got one of them put together and gave up on the second one for now. I have not brought home any chicks yet, so we will see how these hold up once I do.
