best idea ever (super strong, lightweight, HIGHLY-protective)
You can pack a laptop in this. I know, as I bought a MB on eBay and they sent it in one of these. I was intrigued. So when I got a chance to test the out myself I jumped at the offer.SUPER STRONG! I cannot emphasize that enough. I have not run over one of these with my car, but they support a LOT of “crushing weight” and they can be inflated as little or as much as you like. The plastic is think and durable (not like a kitchen trash bag or any nonsense like that). You have to hand pump them, but they fill up extremely quickly, and you can set the amount of “fluff” you want to add because you control the air pressure.The pump they give you is a bit rickety but it is free and it does the job. the HARDEST PART of all of this is figuring out where to inflate it. There is a VERY SMALL gap at the top of the envelope (not the flap) on the side that is incredibly hard to find. But you slip the tip of the pump in and this envelope fluffs up super-quick (faster than you will be ready for).Personally, I will be using these to send out books, because they are cheaper and lighter than packaging materialsâand as an author I want my signed copied of books to arrive in pristine condition, so these are perfect. Also, because of the ribbed nature, you can fold these (lengthwise) to make them fit smaller areas if you under-inflate them slightly. I wish I had known about these years ago. This is just one of those things you never know you need until you use it once or twice.I would say these are “almost?” durable enough to ship without a box or envelope. They are designed to live inside off a box or at least a huge manilla envelope, but they are very durable. I am happy I have these. I think they will work for youâbut only if you need light packaging that saves you money on sipping (as this is a giant air pocket and not shipping material that adds postage weight). Good Option
Got these for a relative during a move, and he said they did a great job protecting his tech. They inflated well, stayed inflated, and kept everything stable inside their bin. He did transport them himself, so care was taken that you can never guarantee without doing the moving yourself, but he said he’d definitely use these for future moves. He doubled up on these for smaller items and felt that this offered more protection.

VERDICTBuyWHYI have some vintage laptops that I’ve sold and needed protective containers for it. These fit the bill and I can feel the laptops have adequate cushioning when I ship them protected in these and send them in laptop boxes.

We use these to send our computer boards and laptops, and after sending about 100 units, we have not had any issues with damage. Once inflated, they hold whatever is within tightly and prevent any damage from outside. The supplied pump does the inflation easily and quickly; you can make the package as hard as you want. We then insert the part with the inflated bag into a large bubble pack, completing the package for ultimate mailing.
