Sweet little lens
Lens mounted on a Sony a7ii and shoots pictures like a fine vintage lens. Fully manual with no auto focus and no electrical contact points with camera body so no f/stop or shutter speed readout on the screen or viewfinder. If you are not familiar with a manual shooting this may not be the lens for you. OTOH if you want to learn manual lens shooting, $90 is not a budget breaker to start with. The pics are very nice with an old school vintage look. The bokeh is excellent wide open and the sweet spot is probably about f/5.6 to 8.0. The build quality is far better than some of the far more expensive name brand lens I have.

WoW! Just WOW!
This little lens is packed with crisp, perfect photos every time! If you’re comfortable using manual settings and are looking for a nice compact lens, this is the lens for you. The photos are incredibly sharp! I wish Brightin Star would make more Z mount lenses for Nikon. Fabulous lens at a fantastic price!

Very nice lens but…
Nice lens but the manual focus makes it a little impractical for shooting on the fly. This lens will make great portraits. Suggest using it on a tripod or enabling focus peaking

Sheers lens mount, no infinity focus.
When I ordered this lens I had two implicit expectations.1. That you can mount it onto your camera.2. That the lens focuses to infinity.I had to replace my lens mount because the lens sheered it upon trying to mount it. Then after mounting it with a new mount, it could not focus to infinity. This is a failure of QC that I have seen others complain of. The Build is overall great but extremely misleading as the optics are disappointing even for the price. The lens does have great nighttime performance though, but that’s a given for f/.95.

An affordable Noctilux? YES!
This lens works very well and exudes quality, it has definitely earned the term, ‘glass’. Modern mirrorless cameras make using a manual f0.95 lens a realistic possibility. Using the viewing screen and zooming in on what you want sharp and focusing from there. All the pics here were shot wide open at f0.95. The headshot selfie was shot through a K&F Concept 62mm ND4-64 ND & CPL Polarizers Filter 2-in-1- and is still quite sharp. This lens is so affordable, you really should get it – now…

Great quality
I love this lens! Really great quality and the lens is made really well, it has some weight to it. Definitely recommend this lens if you don’t mind manual focus. Works perfectly with my Sony A6000 camera

You get what you pay for
This should be viewed more as a toy or art lens. Wide open, like all .95 lenses it’s very soft with a thin depth of field. Even stopped down, I don’t feel it’s very sharp, but you don’t get this lens to photograph stopped down imo. It has a very distinct look. Focus throw is fast, but also I feel like the markings on the lens don’t match where it is in the focus range. It’s a toy/art/fun lens. At 0.95 you’re not going to be fast focusing with this, so if it’s fast moving don’t expect to capture it easily. But, I think it could make a good cinema lens since it’s manual focus.

Excellent lens for the money!
Great manual lens for the price. It’s a pretty hefty housing and might cause minor discomfort if your camera is lighter than the lens itself, otherwise it’s perfect for artsy photos and for learning photography on a budget. Make sure to set your camera to “release shutter” mode otherwise it won’t work for you as it has no electrical connections to the camera body. Would recommend!

Overall a decent lens, a bit soft at f0.95 and contrast is a bit low, but it gets better at f1.4. Not bad considering the price of a new Leica Noctilux.

Quirky as you’d expect, but with a high minimum focus distance, cheap construction and small aperture, it did not have nearly enough redeeming features.
