Soft and warm, yet dressy, hat
I bought the black braided front version of this hat for my daughter with alopecia.I had bought several cheaper hats off Amazon last year, and while a couple were cute, only one was still hanging in there and worth wearing to work. (One may revive with some stitchery.) So, I went on the hunt to buy three nicer somewhat dressy/classy hats that would go with business attire and be warm enough to keep her head warm when the air conditioning goes to subzero. (Okay, any amount of cool feels cold to a poor hairless scalp.) Coincidentally I ended up with three weights of hat that all fit a young woman with no hair. (Sorry, we canât judge how these would fit someone with really thick hair, but regular hair ought not to make too much difference.)I chose BYOS Womens Winter Warm Fleece Lined Knitted Beret Beanie Hat Cap w/Visor, Various Styles (Braided Front Black), Kajeer Floppy Corduroy Newsboys Hats for Women Black, and Womens Hat Linen Blend Military Cadet Cap Ladies Headwear Head Coverings as stylish enough for a twenty-something IT professional wearing non-suit business attire and comfortable and warm enough to be worn all day.None of these hats arrived with any type of odor, which can be a problem depending upon the manufacturing process. Hereâs my daughterâs take on these hats so far; her head is an average size with no-to-buzzed hair depending upon the day, making a good fit and coverage important. Overall, the daughter was happy with all three hats for various reasons. Her take on them is below.BYOS Womens Winter Warm Fleece Lined Knitted Beret Beanie Hat Cap w/Visor, Various Styles (Braided Front Black)Warm and soft knit, with just the right amount of poofiness around the base/band area to give the classic retro newsboy type of look, rather than being fit tightly to the head. Lined with ultra soft fleece. A touch of glitter in the yarn used to knit the rim, band, and braided accents on the top. The band is elasticized. Classy, dressy, warm, and oh, so comfortable. Big hit with the daughter.Kajeer Floppy Corduroy Newsboys Hats for Women BlackAnother classic retro newsboy cap. Just the right amount of poof above the band around the hat to give the ultimate newsboy look. The corduroy makes it soft and thereâs even a string inside so you can adjust the fit of the band to tighten the hat if you need. No need for that here and my daughter removed it immediately, as it was a perfect fit with no need for adjustment. Topped with a cloth-covered button and lined with what seems to be a cotton-type cloth. Warm without being as warm as the knit and fleece lined hat making it fit a wider range of temperatures. Classy, semi-dressy, and very comfortable. Another big hit.Womens Hat Linen Blend Military Cadet Cap Ladies Headwear Head CoveringsThis is a more modern military take on the newsboy cap, in my mind. Although it says itâs a military cadet cap. It just seems like a newsboy with no poofiness around the edges. Not so retro as the other caps. It has a elasticized part on the back of the band that is a few inches wide to make the hat more adjustable. It says it is for small heads, but it seems to be a similar size to the others. Itâs lined with cotton or something similar. Not quite as classy-looking as the others, but very nice. The buckle is a nice touch, although it doesnât hold the band tightly. Perhaps this is to be used for an adjustment, but so far, the band seems to loosen on its own, so we may end up tacking it or adding Velcro under it to hold it in place better. Overall a very nice-looking hat. Comfortable and suitable for keeping a head warm under normal conditions, but as itâs thinner, we donât know how it would do out in the cold. Not quite as dressy as the other two hats, it will be good for slightly more casual office wear and every day clothes. Another win.Very happy with all these purchases. Should a hat not hold up as expected or have problems, I will return and amend this review.

Warm Decorative Ladies Hat
I absolutely loved the fa t that this hat has a warm material sewn into the top part for warmth. The hat is actually crocheted but someone thought enough to consider warmth for the winter time. It’s stylish and warm. Love it.

Warm and perfect for Blocking the Sun in cold weather
This hat is. perfect for me to wear when taking a walk or hiking in the woods in winter. I have a 21 inch head, and the hat completely covers my ears (or I can push it up and off my ears). It looks adorable and is extremely warm. In New Mexico, the sun is very bright (due to the high elevation of 7,000 feet), and the visor does a great job of blocking the sun out of my eyes.

BYOS Winter Beanie
I love ð this! It does keep the noggin warm and looks so cute while doing it! My bf even complimented how I looked in it… only drawback that I can think of is that it may be too big. It keeps falling lower over my eyes and I have to adjust once in a while… other than that, it fits snuggly and I dnt have to worry about the wind blowing it away… nice crocheting job, didnât notice any strays hanging.

Love this hat!
Warm, nice fit, stays on & doesn’t itch (very little itch, nothing like the other hats i’ve had or were made of yarn). Best winter hat i’ve ever had. It hugs the head, holds all my hair no matter how I put it up. Braid or pony tail it stretches enough to go over & still hug the head. I have tried a bun, the hat didn’t want to cover the ears as well but it was all good. Also it takes a really strong wind for it to try to move the hat off the head so I just pulled the hood of my jacket over my head & tied it, the bill of this hat keeps everything in place. The hat seems very well made. I loved this hat so much I recommended it for my mom. She liked the look on me so I ordered her one. We have the one with the flower on the side & seems to be a nicely woven, no loose holes for wind to get in. I’ve warn it in mild freezing weather of Montana & not felt the wind through the hat.

Cute, lightweight, covers ears great quality
The oatmeal color is much prettier than as advertised. The quality is great and the lining is the icing on cake. Fit is very comfortable as the elastic fits but not too tight. Excellent quality. Worth every penny it costs and more. Sassy style. Love it.

Nicely made and very warm hat
These hats were made for cancer patients, but anyone could wear them. When the weather is very cold, this is the perfect hat to wear.

Size
It’s a pretty hat and soft, but unfortunately it runs very large. It comes down very far over my forehead. May use it on very cold windy days to protect from frostbite!

This hat is more fashion than function. The yarn is loosely woven so I doubt it will last very long. There is a thin elastic around the head that is uncomfortable at times and because it’s so thin (or maybe round?) it doesn’t seem to want to pull down and stay over my ears. It has a light lining. I live in Ontario, Canada. I wore is in -8 C, and it was way too cold. I think it would be better suited for the West Coast, in lighter winters. Lots of air blows through the weave, it’s just not tightly knit or well insulated but will be good driving to work and walking in from my car.
