I’ve purchased 2 of these. One (in red) in October 2020 which is still going strong, and another (in purple) which started making a hideous noise less than 2 months after receiving it. One of the fans seemed to be defective. I wanted to exchange it, but the return window is only 1 month and I couldn’t find a way to contact the company to request an exchange. Fortunately, they contacted me and offered a full refund, which I gladly accepted. I purchased another of the same purple unit which has been working fine so far.

Works as a riser, doesn’t offer meaningful cooling for Asus Zeph G15 2022 Model
I tested this on my 2022 model year Asus Zephyrus G15 with 3060 Video Card, which is a notebook style Gaming Laptop, it gets HOT. I compared this against a steel laptop stand that doesn’t have any fans. I had them both at the same angle, steepest angle for the cooling pad, 2nd steepest angle for the laptop stand. I played the same game (Forza Horizon 5 at Ultra Settings, 83fps cap 1440p), driving down the same stretch of highway in the same car for 10 minutes and then recorded the CPU and GPU temperatures. The difference was 1 degree cooler on the CPU and 1 degree hotter on the GPU, Celsius.I could tell why when I took the laptop off and checked it. This thing hardly moves any air, or makes much noise, even at full speed, and yes it was plugged into the correct USB ports, the laptop only has 2 USB-A ports, and it gives the cooling pad plenty of juice. I compared plugged into a 2 Amp wall charger to be sure, no change. Also, you can hardly even see the Red LEDs on the cooling pad with a 15.6″ laptop sitting on it. If the cooling pad is folded flat, you won’t see any LEDs at all at their brightest.Maybe if you want this more for the riser function than the cooling function, it is doing something, I guess. Just not enough to keep pace with a hot running gaming notebook. I do have a laptop cooling pad that does drop the temp about 10 degrees Celsius each for the CPU/GPU, but its in a different category, one big fan, and you plug the fan into wall power, and it gets loud, about as loud as the laptop’s fans running full tilt, so not really a comparison feature wise.

My son has a gaming computer he was getting error screens because it was overheating since getting this cooling fan there has been no issues. This works well and is not loud or annoyingThe purple light is nice and matches the light on his gaming desk.
