Easy set up & adds versatility to my tablet
I purchased this for my Lenovo tablet (android ver. 14) It has (1) USB type C port I have a Seagate where I keep back ups of music, pictures document files and what not, to use it I had to plug it into the port for transferring data – the same port that also charges the tablet – kind of a pain to say the least! Now I have a very nice tablet stand which allows pass through power (No frantic switching back and forth to keep the tablet charged) The simplest way to describe this would be a “Swiss army knife” of every type of connection port that you would probably ever need. Frm SD, Micro SD, USB A, USB C, HDMI…I tried them all and they all work just as they should. My only bit of advice is to take this review with a grain of salt; what I mean is this is on my Lenovo tablet and everything works just fine. I don’t how it works on other tablets / or phones apple, or android. You may have to do a bit of research to find out.

Docking Station or Sorcery? The NEWQ Is Pure Wizardry!
I bought the NEWQ Versatile USB C Docking Station in August 2024, and let me tell you, it’s the best tech decision I’ve made since realizing my toaster wasn’t waterproof. This thing is like the Swiss Army knife of docking stations, and I’m convinced it has a PhD in multitasking.First off, the number of ports on this bad boy is mind-boggling. It’s got USB A, USB C, HDMI, SD TF 4.0 reader, and even RJ45. I half expect it to start doing my taxes next April! It’s like a party on my desk, and all my gadgets are invited. I’ve plugged in so many devices at once that I’m starting to feel like a mad scientist in a tech lab.The rotatable dock feature is life-changing. I can spin my iPad around like a DJ at a club, which makes me feel like I’m the life of the party, even if that party is just me in my pajamas, pretending to work. It’s perfect for switching between watching cat videos and pretending to be productive on Zoom calls. I’ve even given my iPad a little twirl for dramatic effect during meetings. Who knew a docking station could add so much flair to my day?Then there’s the HDMI port, which lets me stream 4K@60Hz video like a pro. I’ve started hosting “movie nights” where my friends come over, and we marvel at how much better my TV looks than theirs. I’ve become the neighborhood tech guru, and I owe it all to this magical dock.The RJ45 port gives my iPad internet speeds that make my old setup look ancient. Lightning-fast downloads mean I can watch videos, browse, and meme to my heart’s content, all without a hitch. My iPad and I are more connected than ever—sorry, Wi-Fi!Last but not least, the audio port has reignited my love for all things music. I’ve been having solo dance parties in my living room, complete with air guitar solos, while my cat looks on in utter confusion.In conclusion, the NEWQ Docking Station is my new tech crush. It’s versatile, fun, and has made my iPad the star of the show. If you’re looking for a docking station that’s both functional and wildly entertaining, this is it. Just be prepared for your other gadgets to get a little jealous!

Great for Handheld Gaming Consoles
This is great for hooking up handheld gaming consoles to your TV or monitor using HDMI. I use mine for my Logitech G Cloud, also my Steam Deck and my Asus ROG Ally. The Logitech G Cloud does not have many options for a docking station and the USB-C port is in the bottom center of the console. So this stand is the perfect solution If you want to play games on your smart TV. You will want to plug in a USB-C charger up to 100 Watts. The charger is not included with the docking station/stand. If you have one, you can use a USB-C phone charger. If not, you will want to pick one up. The USB-C hub will charge your device while it’s displaying on your TV through HDMI. It has multiple other ports including ethernet and a built-in card reader. The card reader is nice to have if you are into retro gaming and need to transfer files to your console. It has a sturdy base and is very stable. All I had to do was plug in the USB-C wall charger into the hub and plug the provided USB-C cable from the docking station/hub into my device. Everything was automatically detected. It also folds up flat for storage when not in use. I’m very happy with this docking station/stand/USB-C hub.

samsung dex can only do 30hz instead of 4k 60hz
my dock station came in, the dock itself works fine but for some reason when i connect my hdmi directly into the dock it only outputs 30hz not 60hz while in 4k. i can only get 60hz through 1080p with this dock.

This is a really nice addition to my office. It’s a really nice hub/ docking station. I don’t connect it to my office computer as that is not my property but I have plugged it in on its own and I will place my phone, iPad, ereader on the docking station. I use the different ports to keep the chargers readily available for if I need to charge something. The material is very nice and works perfectly for the devices I have. You can adjust the docking station to your liking and height. I totally think this is worth getting a recommend

Der Dock macht auf Anhieb eine gute Figur. Da der Dock recht klein und leicht ist, war der erste Test ein Rutsch, Kipp- und Drehtest. Tatsächlich hält mein iPad Pro auf dem Dock ganz gut – allerdings ist es eigentlich schon zu groß für das kleine Ding, da die Auflagefläche doch recht klein ist. Aber: Das Tablet wird gehalten. Die Scharniere halten das Gewicht des iPad Pro sehr gut aus ohne sich selbst zu verstellen. Zudem halten die kleinen Gummifüße auch beim Drehen des Tablets über den Drehmechanismus den Dock sicher an Ort und Stelle. Besonders elegant gelöst: Der Drehmechanismus lässt sich von der Stärke des Widerstands per Drehrad einstellen. Top.Während das iPad Pro sicher gehalten wird, offenbaren sich die kleinen Schwächen bei der Benutzung des Touchscreens. Jedes Tippen macht sich durch Bewegungen des ganzen Systems bemerkbar. Spätestens hier sollte klar werden, dass das System für Laptops nicht geeignet ist.Dennoch mag ich das System. Zum einen benötigt es sehr wenig Platz, zum anderen hält es mein iPad auch mit Schutzhülle recht sicher. Mein anderes System ist magnetisch und funktioniert nur ohne Hülle. Zudem sind alle Hub-Anschlüsse im Fuß des Ständers integriert.Die Technik:Die verbaute Technik ist solide und durchdacht, aber nicht auf dem allerneuesten Stand. Muss es aber für die meisten Geräte auch nicht und wird auch die nächsten Jahre prinzipiell ausreichend sein. Wer den Ständer und Dock an nur einem externen Monitor anschließen möchte, kommt mit der Station bestens aus. Prinzipiell stehen alle notwendigen Schnittstellen in ausreichender Anzahl zur Verfügung. Dazu gehören drei USB-A-Anschlüsse (einmal 3.2, 2x 2.0), ein USB-C 3.2, TF und SD-Card Reader mit brauchbarer Lese- und Schreibgeschwindigkeit. Die USB-C Host Schnittstelle dient zur Verbindung zum Tablet. Ein 100W USB-C PD Eingang dient zur Stromversorgung – geeignetes zusätzliches Netzteil vorausgesetzt. Prinzipiell reicht aber schon ein Netzteil mit 20-30 Watt, um die Station inkl. Tablet zu betreiben.Komplettiert werden die Anschlüsse mit eigenem Netzwerkkabelanschluss und Kopfhörer Anschluss. Die Verteilung der einzelnen Anschlüsse finde ich dabei gut gelöst. Prinzipiell lässt sich die Station so nutzen, dass die sperrigen Anschlüsse nach hinten weg gehen.Mein Fazit:Sehr gutes System für Tablets und Co. Für Laptops allerdings nicht geeignet. Platzsparend. Hat prinzipiell alles, was man benötigt. Mit aktuell knapp 50 Euro ein akzeptables Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. In Summe wurden meine Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Daher von mir 5 Sterne.

The first thing I noticed with this and I have to commend – it understands its role very well, and so the power adapter and included cabling (Type-C, long for power, short for host power) are of an exceptional quality. The adapter is only one port out, but it is nice and heavy leaving me little doubt about its electrical construction. The only gripe I have with the shorter of the two cables is relative to how say, a phone, would have to balance if you wanted to use it vertically, it’s *really* stiff. Such that I can’t really find an orientation below 45 degrees that permits using it and not having the cable get in the way of that. Horizontal is, of course, fine.This has a phenomenal amount of ports, covering all the territory you’d need as a nomad or just to use a portable option smaller than a laptop for a computer. You can hook up the external screen, a minimum of 4 USB devices, it includes charge AND OTG (so both can work at the same time). Just slot your phone or tablet in, and you can get to doing desktop work with it.I myself really appreciate that option for my writing hobby, as I don’t really want to always be stuck on my much larger gaming desktop. Works fluidly without interruption, though naturally I don’t use the HDMI port for that. It’s also helpful when I’m fixing computers as a quick and easy way (with a USB capture card) to create a screen + input all in one spot for headless systems needing diagnostics.The stand holds against pressure, and the grip is excellent. It’s not going anywhere without a very deliberate effort, and proved able to easily host even my Microsoft Surface Pro (weight wise – that unit having little cause to actually be on one). Overall, it’s a great way to have a system ready to dock and just pop in the main unit. Well built, and the anodized aluminium exudes quality. Though I was a little disappointed to see mine arrived with minor flaws in the paint(?) coat.Keep in mind if the orientation by default doesn’t do it for you, it does rotate easily, so you can realign the ports that way. Anyhow, works well and is well built, I can’t ask for much else!Only “flaw” which I guess it just orients it how most people would *want* to use it, is that you need it angled at about 45d to avoid the cables being too stiff and the phone/device refusing to seat.========================== Overall View: [😊] ==== – 😦🙁😐😊😀 + ==========================Media Used: photos showing the ports, build, and that issue with the stiff cable I mentioned. For the pictures, I didn’t really have the cabling in, but it keeps them pretty controlled.
