I always used the single color COB.Even though one of them is RGBCCT and the other one is just RGB, a cross comparison can be useful to all of us. The two LED strips considered are:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLRS4WM4For the RGB COB LED strip (from here after COB)andhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ2B2J1QFor the RGBCCT 5 color in 1 LED strip (from here after 5in1)First, letâs talk about size: the COB is 10x2mm, the 5in1 is 12x3mm.The COB is the undisputed winner, if the smaller size is important.In my case, I had to install the LED strip above a frosted glass backsplash to create a glowing, even, light surface. The COB enables me to place the LED in a way that it aligns with the glass side, creating a more visually appealing effect. On the other hand, the 5in1 option has larger LEDs that don’t fit perfectly in this alignment. I added these as regular white light, no need for controller or anything but a 24v power source, being 24v you have less of a chance that the end of the string will be dimmer, these are bright all the way to the end.These make great indirect lights on the ceiling.

These lights have so many functions. A big variety of colors and programs. Comes with a remote to easily change it when you please. The only down side is that the strip is fairly fragile. Easy to rip if you try to reposition the lights.

Lessson one: I needed to switch out a power supply for the old one, but didn’t know it until a mwise rep pointed out a specific symptom of a bad power supply: very dim reds. I’ve never, in over a decade of stringing led’s, had a bad power supply. So, after switching it out for a known working one, I’m writing a new review, in which my opinion has completely changed. My apologies for the error. I sacrifice myself at the alter of ignorance. Take me, ignorance. Take me.Now, let’s get to these light. You’re getting a lot of leds with this 10 footer and they’re very bright. Unfortunately, were you to hide 1/2 the quality of these lights behind a channel and sell them, you’d score higher reviews. Because channels hide the flaws. So if you were to put these leds behind a channel (if displayed in the open), you’d have the pleasure of viewing them in full glory, or you can simply leave them as is and tuck them under/over/behind the area you want to illuminate. The quality is definitely there. They’re bright, they’re solidly made, they’re beautiful to look, and so I highly recommend them. 5-stars.
