Good looking light w/ good intensity for kitchen
So far no issues, but it has only been about 2 weeks. We had the older model that uses a traditional bulb, but it came down with a bad ballast (something that model was notorious for apparently). So we tried this LED model as it has the exact same look as the first one, just LED (and no ballast) and so far very happy with it. Install is simple (first time I tried installing a light, imagine it went like any other light would). Brightness intensity is nice and the color of this light is warm and not harsh – we have installed in our kitchen so want to have a bright light over out sink. Hoping it lasts a long time since LED technology is supposed to be good for that.

I recently purchased a new home that came with a lot of little projects. One project was updating all the lights. I had a big 2 ft x 4 ft dumpy florescent light fixture. I think this one is about 12 inches all the way around and gives off so much better lighting and I actually have some ceiling space to show rather than have it covered by an ugly light fixture. I like the silver framing with the light as it matches my SS appliances in my kitchen.

Just what I wanted
Bought to replace an outdated kitchen light. Stylish, efficient LED light is bright and dimable. Installation was a snap if you’re comfortable connecting two wires and a ground. It worked with the old dimmer switch that was there, but I replaced it with a recommended Lutron switch anyway. Bulbs are not replaceable, but given the expected life span, they don’t need to be.If you’re frugal (think cheap) like me, you’ll appreciate the minimal amount of electricity needed to run it. Fit and finish are surprisingly good.Very pleased with this purchase.

Not Exactly Dimmable; Bluer Than I’d Like, but Super Bright
I would return this, but by the time you go out into the garage, throw the breaker, get out the step ladder/tools/headlamp, uninstall, repackage, and ship, it seems like less trouble just to live with the downsides… probably.Anyway, I accidentally opted for the 4000k model instead of the 3000k. It is tremendously blue and “clinical” when compared to natural light sources or incandescent bulbs Perhaps the 3000k model would have overcome this gripe.More importantly, it is listed as dimmable, but we have NOT found this to be the case with the Lutron Maestro series of dimmer. I haven’t tested it on any other dimmer yet. While it will adjust its light output, the floor setting required to make the light turn on is extremely high (far more than half-way to full brightness). Despite that, once the light is fully illuminated, you can dim it BELOW the floor that was required to originally get it to turn on, BUT if you dim it too much, it will go to that might-as-well-be-turned-off sort of dull glow where you can only see that it’s still on in a completely dark room. To be clear, that’s not a useful brightness setting–simply a side-effect from the quirkiness of the dimming capabilities.The other gripe is less serious, but I can definitely notice a very faint flicker when moving my hand or any other object directly under the light. Very trippy and not cool.The light output is very good. It’s extremely bright compared to the 2x 100 watt incandescent death traps it replaced. The housing is light weight and cheaply made in the same sort of way a halloween costume might be. In other words, it looks pretty good from a distance, but not up close, and it certainly doesn’t have that nice heavy “metal and glass” feel to it (not that you’ll be spending lots of time feeling your light fixture, but this sense of “substance” seems important in this day and age of mass production and cost cutting. So if it’s important to you, there you go).

I liked it so much I went back and ordered three …
Bought one, had my electrician install it (he had no issues with it and install was quick). It has bright light, mounts close to ceiling.. and replaced a horrid “builder basic” fixture. I liked it so much I went back and ordered three more for halls (to replace more horrid “builder basic” fixtures). Yes it is plastic but when you have it mounted that’s not noticeable at ALL. It just looks like a nice, not-ostentatious light that will work with many decor themes.

Cheaply made, but you can’t tell from a distance
I wish they had mentioned the required mounting bracket size, but that’s mostly my fault for my house have 3″. I just bought my 4th one in two weeks, I paid 30 bucks more for the other three so that’s annoying. They are plastic, looks and feels cheap on close inspection but once mounted on the ceiling it gives off great light, comes on quickly but not as quick as the true high end LED’s they seemed to have charged for. All in all it’s a good light at the price I paid today, but overpriced at one the other three cost me. Thought crossed my mind to ‘return’ the previous three to get almost 100 bucks back, but live and learn.

I would not recommend these lights
We purchased this light and I do not like it at all. We had two that looked exactly like these and I wanted to replace them with LED lights to get a brighter light. We had halogen lights in the other fixtures. They are no brighter at all. I do not like them and would not recommend them. The light looks more yellow than white. We have another LED light and it is much whiter and brighter.

Amazing compact LED light fixture with super bright light output, it can be mounted in a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, any work space. It puts out a tremendous amount of clean bright light, has an opaque white cover and brushed stainless or pewter accents.I highly recommend this fixture! We got it as a “gold box deal” on Amazon and if I could, I would buy two more for our garage to replace the old industrial flourescent light fixtures.A great deal from Lithonia, a leader in commercial lighting products.

Lithonia Lighting LED light fixture comes with straight forward instructions to install it properly. There is no light bulb in this fixture just LEDs positioned in a patterned sequence. The LED component provides a bright white colour that complements my décor. The clear part is made of plastic, so there is no chance of it shattering. Overall a well built product from a brand you can trust.
