I have these in my rabbitry and they are well made, solid hay feeders. Easy to load up with hay and hang inside their cages. They have hooks on the top AND also coms with 2 clips per feeder to adequately secure to the cage. Rabbits grab the hay and if itâs packed in; some times their tugs to pull out a piece of hay to eat can cause it to unhook from the side of the cage. For this reason, I use the clips to keep the hay feeders in place and from falling off the side of the cage. Have purchased several and would again, if needed. Great hay feeders, they look nice and can be easily cleaned.

Functional hay basket, small hooks
Nice hay basket. Like the closed back so more of the hay stays in the cage. The hooks though are really tight and small so you have to adjust them if you want to use them to hang it even on a very thin cage. Zip ties work well for me. The clips are kind of big. Itâs sturdy. metal construction. Good value for the money I would say. Fine for a few guinea pigs or 1 large rabbit or 2 if you refill it a lot. It doesnât hold a ton of hay but seems to be on par with other hay holders sold.

Favorite hay rack for rabbits
Well made. Fits on my rabbit hutch/condo. My mischievous boy has not been able to knock it off. Holds quite a bit of hay. I’m impressed with it. Will never go back to any other hay rack.

Worked well for the purpose
I got this hay feeder to hold hay for some guinea pigs I was fostering at the time. It easily attached to the side of our C&C cage at the perfect height to also rest on the bottom of the cage. Of course be aware that guinea pigs will make a mess of the hay no matter what! And the hay itself has small pieces that will go everywhere regardless of a holder. They seemed to have fun pulling it out of the feeder and spreading it around. Some people say that the hay feeders restrict how the piggies naturally eat… I gave them piles of hay in their little hideouts to lay in, and kept this filled also so they did not lack for hay anywhere and as I said, seemed to like playing with the hay from the feeder. It stayed on the cage well, but the box also includes two carabiner clips for a better attachment if your animals get a little more playful with it!

This is the best Timothy hay dispenser I have used for my bunny so far! It easily holds plenty of Timothy hay, as well as keeping the hay organized. It helps keep the hay clean and is easy to use! Love it!

It’s better than all the other hay distributing products I’ve tried, but that’s not saying much.
I’ve been through numerous other hay feeders for rabbits, including the hanging rabbit bags with openings made out of material (which most of my rabbits ate the bags) so the mission to find the top of the line perfect hay feeder has not been very successful so far. This one does have a great heavy duty cage, but I find the bars are so far apart that the rabbits can pull out hands full of hay and spew it everywhere. We raise meat rabbits which are bigger than the average lop-eared darlings most have for pets. I work with Flemish Giants and New Zealands. So it’s imperative that I stick with the heavy duty feeders and accessories if possible. These rabbits shredded the expensive corner potties in about a week and didn’t even have the decency to burp when they were done. With these baskets, the first thing they do is tear all the hay out of them. A metal lid would have helped some, but I have a couple that like unpuzzling things for sport, so I’m sure they would outsmart a lid as well. The paint has held up pretty well, despite how aggressive the rabbits are with them. The clips with the outside hooks are a huge pain in the fanny. It should be one or the other, as they hang up too often between the bars of the cage when using both. I like the clips, as they are good and tight when snapped close, unlike so many that break within a week or less. The feeder holds a good amount of hay. It’s just too bad that the rabbits can tear it out in seconds and send it flying. So if this was created for sweet, quiet, petite little bunnies then it might work out fine for them. The Flemish Giant thinks it’s a hat to wear, so it is useless in his pen. He loves to bat it about and send the hay flying. Anyway, as for holding up, it’s doing that. As for holding hay, not so good in the meat rabbit arena.
