Worked for 1 minute. (update Jan 2025)
Worked out the box, pc picked up as a microphone at first, I updated firmware and downloaded the hyper X app, and that’s when the horrors started happening, after the firmware update my pc started registering the microphone as headphones rendering my brand new $200 microphone useless, an hour and half of trouble shooting and messing with settings I’m returning the thing, it’s crazy my $75 maono microphone was plug and play no issues what so ever for the past 3 years lol, such a shame this was my first and last hyper x product experience.Update: it seems the microphone firmware was faulty, support was such a great help and sent a new one and worked just fine even with the firmware update. Rating has changed from 1 to 5 stars, customer service was top notch. The microphone is very sleek and stylish outstanding build quality,You may just happen to get a dud like I did aha overall amazing support and good product.

After spending some time with it, here’s what stood out:Setup and Design:Straight out of the box, the QuadCast S 2 feels like a premium product. The setup process was generally straightforward, and I had it ready to use within minutes. The included shock mount and stand were nice touches, making it a plug-and-play solution for most users.The standout feature is the customizable RGB lighting. It’s vibrant, modern, and adds a cool aesthetic to any streaming or recording setup. However, customizing the lighting through the software (HyperX NGENUITY) was a mixed bag.Software Challenges:While the hardware is stellar, the software leaves much to be desired. Adjusting lighting and mic sound controls via the app was frustrating at times. Some settings just didn’t apply no matter how many tweaks I made, and the interface could use a clearer layout for better usability. For such an expensive mic, I expected a more polished experience.Performance:In terms of sound quality, this microphone is excellent. The QuadCast 2 S offers clear, crisp audio with plenty of options to tailor it to your needs (four polar patterns, gain control, etc.). Whether you’re streaming, podcasting, or recording voiceovers, it captures a professional-level sound with minimal effort.Is It Worth It?:This is undeniably a high-quality microphone, but it’s also one of the pricier options on the market. Con sus 32 bits a 192kHz lo respaldan. La calidad es excelente. Cable restaltar que algunas aplicaciones como Discord la calidad del audio está topado a 16 bits (inclusive con Nitro).

I bought this as an upgrade to the HyperX QuadCast S which I have been using since 2022. It has a wider range of colour patterns to choose from if you install the HyperX Ngenuity app which is available for download from the manufacturer and via whichever app store you use. All functions you would need are accessible on the mic itself, ie gain control etc Like its predecessor, the build quality is excellent and it is even better for depth and quality of voice recording and transmission. I have mine installed on the OEM mic arm inverted, so the mute is at the bottom rather than the top, personal preference but it looks great and is easy to use like that. If you’re happy with the default rainbow pattern, it’s a quick install and you just need to select the mic on your computer settings. Size-wise it’s a bit longer than the predecessor but is still neat and tidy looking. Comes with a desktop stand if you prefer that so can be used straight out of the box. Great features in the app so you can set defaults for different scenarios.

Tuttavia, sono rimasto deluso nello scoprire che il software HyperX NGENUITY, necessario per gestire e personalizzare il dispositivo, è disponibile esclusivamente per Windows e non per macOS.Questa limitazione riduce significativamente le possibilità di personalizzazione per chi utilizza un Mac, nonostante il prodotto venga dichiarato compatibile. È un aspetto che dovrebbe essere chiarito meglio nella descrizione del prodotto o, meglio ancora, risolto con lo sviluppo di una versione del software anche per macOS.In sintesi, il microfono è un buon prodotto per chi cerca una soluzione plug-and-play su Mac, ma per sfruttarlo appieno sarebbe necessaria una maggiore attenzione verso gli utenti macOS.

Es sieht mit seinen RGB Möglichkeiten echt klasse aus und erfüllt sein eigentlichen Job auch fast perfekt. Die Aufnahme qualität ist super, aber gibt welche die in der Preisklasse besser klingen, diese haben dann aber keine Beleuchtung oder diesen Funktionsumfang.

Llevaba 6 años con un micrófono medianamente bueno, cuando se me estropeó, compré este. Llevo 2 días con él y solo puedo decir que la calidad del audio que recoge es increíble. Además, trae su propio sistemas de luces led personalizado. Muy recomendado.
