Good quality seeds in general except broccoli seeds
I’m new to sprout. I appreciate this sample packet so that I can try different seeds at a reasonable price. I live in the mid west and do not have Prime. I received the package 8 days after I placed the order. I bought T & Co sprouting kit (I gave it 5-star review) to sprout these seeds in glass jars.I sprouted Alfalfa seeds twice. I was successful both times. The sprouts tasted great and fresh.I sprouted broccoli seeds twice. It was very moldy and smelled terrible the first time. I threw it away. I treated the second batch with 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide. It worked better, there was a slight moldy smell. I stir fried them instead of eating them raw. I didn’t get sick. I read that another reviewer couldn’t get the broccoli seeds sprouted successfully, so maybe it’s a bad batch.I sprouted Clover seeds once. It was a success. The sprouts texture was similar to that of Alfalfa sprouts. They taste similar too. There was just a tiny bit of spiciness to it, almost undetectable.I sprouted Daikon Radish once. It was a success and fresh tasting. However, the sprouts were super spicy; they were so spicy that tears welled up in my eyes. I brought them to a party and shared. Interestingly, people who eats spicy hot pepper all commented that they were spicy. People who like radish but find hot pepper too spicy like the sprouts. It’s a different spiciness. It goes into the nose and eyes as well as into the throat.I sprouted mung beans with another brand of organic mung beans I bought at a local Asian store. Both sprouted successfully. The seeds from The Sprout House produced better looking and slightly better tasting sprouts. The seeds from the local store were about the half price, yet the stems were thinner and the sprouts turned into a pinkish color on Day 4. I did give both of them a 20-minute bath on Day 3 or 4.I sprouted Adzuki beans with another brand of organic Adzuki beans I bought at the same local Asian store I bought the Mung beans. The seeds from The Sprout House produced good quality sprouts with germination rate of 95% or more. The seeds from the local store only germinated about 5% and started to smell moldy after Day 4. The seeds that did sprout grew VERY slowly. Both French Lentil and Green Pea produced good sprouts. I don’t have any complaints. There were many halves or quarters for the sunflower seeds. I picked them out and counted only 493 good seeds, about a half in volume. Those seeds did produce a good germination rate (>95%). However, I wish there were not so many broken pieces.I haven’t tried the Garbanzo or the Fenugreek seeds yet. I wish soybean seeds can be included in the packet and one of the Garbanzo or the Fenugreek seeds can be left out. Soybean sprouts are very popular among Asian people, only second to Mung bean sprouts. By the way, I just learned that Mung bean sprouts are the most widely consumed sprouts in the world. Please note I used 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide (and diluted a capful into 8 oz) for all seeds except for the first time I sprouted Alfalfa seeds. I’m not sure whether the above dilution rate was ideal. Sometimes I could see white bubbles foaming for some seeds. I guess that sanitized the seeds somewhat.

Fun to try different sprouts!
This is a great assortment to try different sprouts. It’s a good value to decide which I like and which not so much before purchasing large quantities. Clean. Clearly labeled. Good instructions. Good germination. In addition to jar sprouting, I use Peter Burke’s method (inch of soilless mix in a shallow container) and am having good luck with that, too. Grow fresh greens all winter! A fun experiment for children!Love the radish sprouts. Found out I don’t love French lentil sprouts. Tastes like raw beans. The experiment continues!

My first attempt
I’d never tried sprouting before. This was pretty easy, though the instructions were better from people on the internet than with the seeds. I’d like to have known that some seeds take much longer to sprout than others, but I learned that pretty quickly. It would also have been great to see some pictures of how they look when they’re ready to eat. I used wide-mouth pint jars with 1 T seeds in each. I covered the top with gauze/cheesecloth and screwed on the rings. This made it really easy to rinse and drain. The red clover and alfalfa were the fastest and they also grew the most – completely filled the jar. Red clover was fairly tasteless. My husband is especially fond of alfalfa sprouts and having a good supply has been fun. The mung bean and adzuki bean took the longest and taste very similar. My favorites to just eat were the radish and broccoli. Very distinctive flavors. Fennugreek was a lot of fun to try, and tastes good. When I deemed them ready to eat, I replaced the gauze with a regular lid and put the whole jar in the fridge. I recommend.

A very good range of sprouting seed to try out, some spectacular, others not.
This mix had Alfalfa, French Lentil, Mung, Daikon Radish, Clover, Green Pea, Garbanzo, Adzuki, & Broccoli. I was delighted to be able to try out these different sprouters. I had success using a stack-unit sprouting system with all except the Daikon Radish, Broccoli, and Garbanzos. The broccoli was very smelly from the beginning, so it may just have been a bad or out of date batch. The Daikon and Garbanzos looked fine, but didn’t sprout in the stack unit, or in a mason jar/with screen sprouting system.I was a bit hesitant about the Alfalfa – that’s horse food, right? – but it sprouted vigorously and tasted great. The clover sprouted well, but was not a favorite on flavor. The lentils, mung, and particularly the green peas will be staples in my kitchen. All in all, a very good range of products to try out.

Good quality seeds
All the seeds except the sunflower seeds are excellent. The sunflower seeds should have been provided with the shell/husk.This is a great starter kit for those who are learning about sprouting. Each seed will provide a different thickness and texture that will help you decide what sprouts you prefer best. The jar to the left is fenugreek, the jar to the right is alphalpha.

A lot more than I expected
Reading reviews I thought the sprout seeds I ordered would not be of an adequate quantity for the money. Much to my surprise there was a lot of seeds in each package. I have yet to have my initial run to mature at this point, but so far they are really working. This a good way to sample a variety of sprouts without buying a large quantity that may not meet your flavor test. I am assuming that the flavor will meet my expectations.

Easy to use
I initially bought this to sprout for my parrot however now eating them as well. Many of the sprouts are quite tasty and the more you rinse the seeds the faster they sprout. Comes with a wide Assortment of seeds and it’s so much cheaper to produce then what you buy at a market!

Lack of information.
I was happy with the selection of seeds for the money to just start out. It would be more helpful to give directions on how each seed should be grown. Each seed needs different soaking and growing times.
