I wish it had an on/off switch on the remote.
The jury’s still out on whether or not our cats will come to like this little toy. They’re leery of it right now, but not necessarily afraid.I wanted a mouse with a remote control because the cats absolutely loved a motorized mouse they had before, except it only had a switch on the mouse itself with no remote at all, and it turned itself off when not in use. The cats would frequently go and bat at it with no result, so we’d have to stop whatever we were doing to go turn it back on. So I wanted to get one that we’d just have to push a button to turn it back on. My experience with remotes was that there is usually an “on” button. Nope. We still have to go and flip the thing over and turn it on again. So it didn’t live up to the whole reason I bought this.The toy itself is pretty nice, though. It’s not too big, so the size doesn’t put the cats off. And, while quick enough, it’s not overly frenetic, so that doesn’t scare them off, either. It’s nice enough that I had to give it 4 stars, even though it’s not really what I was hoping for.

Works as described. Avoids obstacles and rarely gets stuck. Cat interest may vary, mine liked watching it, but that’s about it. I’ve had things one cat hated, but others love. The controller works well. No complaints.

Adorable cat toy, but its a bit much. One cat is afraid of it and the other just watches it. The place to charge it is under a tiny piece of rubber. I’m afraid that after removing it constantly it will break apart .It might be better for a dog

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lil’ thing! (Yes. It’s small enough for use with a young kitten.) It was ready to play with straight outta the box!But before I purchased this, as I was combing through reviews – even from other sellers – I just couldn’t seem to find the answer to one silly, insignificant question. I went ahead and ordered it without my question being answered – but I am here to put it to rest for anyone else with the same inquiry.QUESTION: Although the toy ‘mouse’ itself is rechargeable, WHAT KIND OF BATTERY DOES THE REMOTE USE?ANSWER: The remote needs a C2032 (about the size of a quarter) to make it work and the good news is that it DOES come with one installed.Another thing I REALLY loved about this toy was being able to switch between using the remote or letting the toy run on its own on ‘autopilot’ from the remote itself. This is a very cool feature because, for example, when I, (using the remote,) would get it “stuck” under a piece of furniture, I’d switch back to let it run on autopilot – and it would do it’s thing and work itself out from underneath on its own. Then, with a simple push of a button on the remote, I’d gain back control again and off we’d go! (lol!)SO FUN!!)I love this toy so much, I am putting my money where my mouth is in the fact that I ordered one for my parents who are in their 80s.I HIGHLY recommend this purchase. If you order one, you won’t be disappointed!

Not as Hoped
Cute idea – dog was more interested than the catsUnfortunately, I can’t get it to turn off. Have punched the on/off button as instructed, but it still keeps runningThe only thing that stops it is turning it upside down.

A Bit small. Does not work well on carpet
I tried presenting this new toy to my cat and it startled him because it whizzes around wood flooring in cirlces and goes in circles. It does not work well on carpet at all.

Cats love it but it gets lost
This toy is awesome! My only issue is that if you’re not watching, it disappears itself. The remote doesn’t activate it, only changes modes and direction, so it can be hard to find when lost.
