Excellent value
This is the most valuable rope perch I have found over the years and through various sources. It is rare to see one of this length and quality for such a low price. It stretches and winds the length of a standard flight cage from bottom to top. It is firm and secure so birds feel safe using it. I am not sure what material the rope is, but I much prefer it to natural sisal ropes because it holds up better with use and ripping by parrots. The material is also soft so it gives the bird’s feet a rest and an enriched feel compared to manzanita or dragonwood.The manufacturer of these perches provides safety precautions which state that trimming is absolutely necessary if the product begins to unravel and that it must be replaced for the bird’s safety if it becomes too worn. This gave me the impression that they care about their customers’ animals as most toys and perches are left without such things. I will use Paradise Toys zig-zag perches in future over all others.

I thought it was too big for my cockatiels BUT it was great for a larger bird. I did get the smaller size down and passed this one along to a friend but after I realized it still would have worked because they do rest well on the thickness and the length would have come in just as handy for wrapping around the corner of the cage as i did the smaller one. I should have kept it. Great perch though and made well. The item was as advertised in the description, arrived in the correct time frame and was shipped well and all in tact upon delivery. When the price is right, Amazon is my number one go to for almost everything. The Prime membership is (a lifesaver sometimes even) well worth it and the fact you can keep things in the cart until the price drops makes it a huge shopping tool. Thank you.

Hi! I’m a 28gm (1oz) Pacific Parrotlet. I think my name is “Naughty Bird”, but mom says I’m wrong. How could I be wrong? She looks at me and says it 100 times a day!Mom let’s me review my own stuff these days and I like sharing my opinion. Actually, screw opinions. I’m always right! This is a big perch for a little guy like me, but because it is soft and easy to hold on to, it adds variety to my daily foot workouts. My feet are very sexy and it’s important to keep them in shape for the ladies. Ladies love a strong footed bird. Having bigger and smaller perches is essential if I want to stay in shape. Mom said I could give tis one five stars (as if she could stop me) because it is made really, really well, cleans up easily and can be bent and twisted to any shape. It attaches to the walls of my palatial estate easily and holds it’s shape. This perch can defy gravity! Even I’m impressed with this one.

Save Your Money, and Protect Your Birds!!!
Calling the Paradise Toys Zig Zag Perch a “Piece of Garbage” is the understatement of the year! My Congo African Gray (a 12 year old male) managed to completely destroy this product within 30 minutes. The cloth material of which the cord is made is of such quality that my bird managed to chew through it in just a few minutes. The flex metal rod which the cord is wrapped around has such small and shallow threading that the wing nut used to attach the Paradise Toys Zig Zag Perch to the cage is unable too be tightened properly. The only paradise your bird will see from the Paradise Toys Zig Zag Perch will be when it dies from chewing on the cord. The dye used to color the cord bleeds and stains when wet and maybe harmful for your birds as it chews on the cord. A much better use for your 20 dollar bill would be to light a cigar with it.

Perfect for limited space on play gym!
This thing is great! My bird’s love rope perches. I got this one specifically for their play gym. We all know they have limited options and the perches must not go beyond the catch tray or poop will be on the floor. This allowed me to attatch it to the gym easily and then bend it to create a multi level perch that also functions as a ladder from one level to the next. It complety changed the play gym and gave them so much more freedom of movement with multiple options of where to sit.

Nice perches for my parrots
I use several different lengths of these fabric perches in each of my 3 parrots cages (2 African greys and 1 red-breasted cockatoo). It makes it easier to them to move around the cage. In the past, I used wooden perches, but each has fallen several times from the perches due to slipping. One of my parrots chewed the edge (next to the part that bolts on the cage) and I immediately replaced it and put a toy next to the edge from the side of the cage to discourage this, as I read some parrots will swallow the fibers and can develop an intestinal obstruction. As long as you keep a close watch for frayed strands, I think these make excellent perches. I also like that they can be bended to exactly the shape you want. Some are not as stiff in the middle and may require stabilization with a regular straight perch in areas to hold them up. This particular brand is very stiff in the middle.

quality control has gone downhill….
First order came in missing the end cap and screw from one end. Amazon took care of the return and sent a new one without a problem. I’ve been buying these perches for years. But I notice the new one doesn’t seem as good as these used to be. The wrapping was a little loose, which could cause a claw to get stuck in the fibers. It is supposed to be all cotton – but I saw little sparkly loose fibers coming through from the bottom – clearly some type of synthetic to have that metallic shine. I trimmed them off and will try using this, while keeping an eye on it. Probably will try a different brand next time.

All four of my hand tame cockatiels take turns sitting on this perch when they are in the cage. One has already adopted too to nape on during the day. Thinking of getting another one too position at top of cage so they can sleep on it too. It’s a good alternative too the other narrow rope perches. Very good quality too.

This product arrived with the rope handing lose off the bar inside. Also, the end was broken so it could not even be connected to the cage. The damaged product was clearly put in the box this way. Very disappointing.
