Incredible for Rainy Motorcycle Rides
It is kind of hard to describe the feel of the material. It is strangely thin, yet dense (as in the threads seem to be tightly knitted together). I was worried it would have a plastic-like or scraggly-itchy feel on the skin, but surprisingly, it is quite soft and pleasant.Scarf is long enough to wrap completely around the neck once before tucking into a loose knot, and fits snugly around my neck, cheeks, and lips underneath a motorcycle helmet.It keeps the frigid wind off my neck and lower face, but what absolutely blew me away is that it does a brilliant job of keeping rain out as well. Though the exposed tail of the scarf absorbs moisture like a greedy sponge, the wrapping around my neck tucked partially underneath my helmet keeps my skin bone dry.Speaking of water and harsh conditions, this material does excellent in the machine washer and dryer thrown in haphazardly with all of my other laundry. After 9 months of ownership, I have not come across any significant damage on the scarf except for some fuzz balls clumping up here and there. Even the fringes appear to stay intact. I frequently get the fringes caught on my other Velcro gear, and they always seem to tear right off without major damage. With all that being said, if you want to maintain the scarf’s brand-new look, it is probably still best to use a more gentler washing strategy.Fashion isn’t my forte, but I want to comment that the black scarf is legitimately black. It is not that faded darkish-gray color that usually passes as black. This makes it very easy to pair with all sorts of outfits, especially casual street or urban wear, as well as typical office attire.I cannot praise this item enough; and I am actually back to purchase a second one for myself so my current one does not have to pull double-duty for next winter.

I ordered a half-dozen scarves from four different vendors. I’m heading to Denver on a trip and needed something for warmth.+ Nice and wide, so when you fold this over you get a good thick scarf> Overall the scarf is a little thin, but this is less noticeable since it is 12-inches wide and you can fold over to make it feel thicker+ I ordered the Blue Houndstooth and the Red Plaid. Both look very close to the pictures here on Amazon.+ I received the two colors very quickly via Prime/Free Returns shipping.> The colors I wanted were Dusk Plaid and Hunters Plaid, but neither offered via Prime shipping. Darn!+ I wound up keeping the Red Plaid so I’m not always wearing black, blue and greys. Plus out of the half dozen this is the softest without feeling like silk .+Also nice and warm!+ Under $10, so price is right.OVERALL: Since I’m keeping one of these, I’m interested in checking out this brand some more. Maybe now that I’ve seen what the other scarfs are like, then I may just end up ordering the Dusk Plaid even though there is no Prime/Free Returns on that one.
