I recently switched to the Arm & Hammer Platinum SLIDE Easy Clean Clumping Litter, and it has been a fantastic upgrade from my previous corn-based litter. This is by far the best litter I’ve tried!
Pros:
Excellent Odor Control: The odor control is incredible. It keeps everything smelling fresh, which is a huge improvement over my last litter. No more unpleasant smells lingering in the room!
Kitten-Approved: My 3-month-old kitten took to it immediately with no fuss. I was worried about transitioning, but he’s been perfectly fine with it from day one.
Low Tracking: There’s much less tracking around the litter box area, which has made cleaning up a lot easier. It’s a big plus for keeping the floors tidier.
Easy Clumping: The clumps form well and don’t break apart, making it super easy to scoop and clean the litter box. The “slide” feature really works, so I don’t have to struggle with sticking litter anymore.

The Arm & Hammer Platinum SLIDE is a great choice for multi-cat households or anyone wanting a high-quality litter. The odor control, low tracking, and ease of cleaning make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

1. The smell control is actually legit.
I’ve had litters that start smelling weird after day 2—even with scooping—but this one actually keeps things under control. I use the regular Clump & Seal version and it doesn’t have that fake perfumey scent, which I appreciate. It just smells clean and neutral.
2. Clumps well and fast.
The clumping is solid. Nothing turns into gross sludge or sticks to the bottom of the box like cement. It forms tight clumps that don’t fall apart when I scoop.
3. Way less dust.
Some litters kick up a whole cloud when you pour them. This one is definitely on the low-dust side, which is nice for both me and the cats. My shelves don’t get that weird litter dust layer anymore.
4. Lasts longer than I expected.
I don’t go through it super fast. A big box lasts a good 3–4 weeks with two cats, which is pretty great. Since it clumps so cleanly, I’m not tossing out a bunch of good litter every time I scoop.
A couple little things to know:
The cardboard box isn’t the easiest to pour from. I just dump it into a sealable plastic bin now and use a scoop—it’s way easier that way.
If your cat is picky about texture, this one has a slightly finer grain than some others (not like sand, but smooth). My cats were cool with it right away though.

Like most cat people, I’ve tried many litters. I had been using the “precious” one with no complaints, but when I saw the regular A&H Slide, it seemed like a formula improvement and I must say it was better. We have both a Litter Robot and a regular large open litter box. My two 20+ pounds cats use both daily. They are finicky and must have a clean box or they’ll want to go somewhere else… So would I, so I don’t blame them! The Slide works beautifully in the Robot (while the Robot is a daily hassle – saver, the occasional deep cleaning isn’t fun and any delay in the need for that is a big plus). Clumps and cleans up easily in the regular box as claimed. My local store, however, didn’t always carry it consistently and I end up desperate and getting something similar.. Whatever on hand. Neither cats nor I appreciate change from something that’s working. So I jumped on Amazon to check out my options.
I never saw or heard of the Platinum version of Slide, and figured it must be at least as good and it is.. Exactly as good as regular Slide but the “hockey pucks” start clumping almost immediately! This is good both for my manual scooping (hurry up and go, furball, I’m late for work!) and for the Robot that is set to rotate /sift at three minutes after use… Not all litter is as good to deal with at three minutes, yuck.
After a week or more (!) it’s as though the litter is still fresh… Few of any of those tiny bits that fall off of the clumps as you scoop and are too small for the scoop to grab (I thought they were unavoidable) … So it also isn’t building up a mild odor over time and the cats seem to appreciate it. I actually have to remind myself that it probably needs a full switching out to new litter because it seems so fresh! I do scoop a minimum of twice a day, with the cats on a “bathroom schedule” matching their 2x a day feeding schedule. I had to mature a little over the years into the minimum scooping frequency. Once a day is simply not enough. I am now a firm believer in keeping their bathroom area as clean as possible all day long. They might not say so, but the cats deserve as confortable and clean a bathroom place as I can give them.
Bottom line, this Platinum Slide is one of the tools that help make this less fun but necessary task a lot less unpleasant.
Price – wise… Eh. No real complaints. It’s available when I need it, it’s delivered to my door, and I don’t have to change things up when I can’t get it locally. I’ve gotten both the 15 lbs box and the larger one, delivered without issue. I don’t need to run out or try something different.
Matrix Survivor –
Tight clumps! I’ve been out of the clumping litter market for a few years, but I’m back and have never seen such hard, tight clumps as these. They don’t fall apart when you ‘claw’ them out of the litter and scoop them out. Very much like fine sand. Great smell protection. Seems expensive.

I’ve tried countless cat litters over the years, but this one stands out as the absolute best. It doesn’t stick to my cats’ paws or track through the house, even when their paws are wet. Cleanup is a breeze—it doesn’t stick to the walls of the litter box or clump up on the scooper. The litter slides off easily, so you’re only tossing out the actual waste, which means less litter wastage overall.
I originally bought this for my 12-year-old because cleaning the litter box is one of his chores, and I wanted to make it as easy as possible for him. This litter has been a lifesaver! It’s also virtually dust-free, making it so much cleaner and healthier for both the cats and the humans in the house.
Another huge bonus is that there’s no lingering “cat litter smell” in our home. As long as we keep the box clean, you’d have a hard time even guessing we have cats at all. Highly recommend to all cat owners—this is the perfect product!

With no exaggeration this is the best litter for you cat. It was left in our motorhome for a month (forgot) and the delicate scent was there after two months of use whilst away with our cat.
No waste, as the small granules stick to the …. thus your scoop collects only the wet or dry remnants.
One box has lasted over 6 months.
Don’t hesitate because of the cost. Get it and try it.
