Not Heavy As It Looks
A nice midweight hat. It is not nearly heavy as it looks which I don’t mind because I can wear it in summer too. Im a grown lady and Its kinda big on my small head but still gets the job done. Protects my face during the bitter cold polar vortex in January.

Warm and comfortable
I’ve been using this for winter bike commuting. I’m biking on cold mornings in the 20-30F range, and this balaclava is doing a great job keeping my face warm. The face covering is flexible and can be raised or lowered depending on how much warmth is needed. The material has a fleece feel to it. It’s thicker than some balaclavas I’ve tried, but not heavy duty. I find it plenty warm enough to deal with 20 mph wind and cold temps.

Too thin for winter warmth
The description for this item says it is a warm winter fleece. The photo I attached is from the listing and it indicates the fleece is thicker and warmer than competitors. However, this fleece is VERY thin and it also runs small. I have other winter balaclavas and they are much thicker than this one.If you need a thin balaclava that runs small and clings to your skull then this one is for you. It might be a good choice under a tight helmet, for example. On the other hand if you want a thicker, warmer, and roomier balaclava for winter wear then I would not recommend this one.

Good quality material, durable and washable
These masks work great – they are a good quality material and they keep you warm in winters. The colors and the fabric is very comfortable on the skin and the mask extends down to the neck to keep you warm overall. There is a good amount of stretch on the fabric fits different face sizes.

Mixed feelings
Soft fabric, which I like, but the top part for the head is too loose.

Thin Soft fleece
The material is a soft fleece so it’s a bit warmer than the thin poly material that many of these are made from. It’s thin enough to easily fit under a helmet, and stretches for an easy on snug fit. However, there are 2 surged seams on top of the head that might bother some. I notice them as my helmet is tight on top but it’s not bad. It would have been better if they were flatlock seams on top like they have around the neck and face openings. The face covering pulls up easily over the chin and mouth, but it doesn’t hold well on my nose and drops off unless I pull it way up. It gets off the face and under the chin with no trouble. The bottom doesn’t go too far down and stops just at the bottom of my neck. It also fits the best if the skull cap part covers the ears.4 stars – Good chin protector. When I pull it over my nose though, the bottom on the neck pulls up. And then there are the seams on top. It fits my shorter wife better (I’m 6’1″ – 185cm).

Material is so thin, but very smooth on the skin
