Does it’s job
The size of the hay feeder was a bit larger than expected. Yet the quality is great, it holds a huge amount of the hay and keeps my Guinea pigs satisfied through the day. They love it! Although one of them tried to use it as a hide hole 😂

Built with Cedar…which is toxic to rabbits
It’s built well, and a good design, BUT as soon as I opened the box, I could smell the cedar aroma. The aroma (phenols) will cause liver damage for rabbits if smelled or chewed on. The wood type was also NOT listed in the product description. If you’re a rabbit owner, please avoid. Wish they would make this in a safe wood though, because the design is perfect for one rabbit.

Wood type was not listed but is clearly made from cedar which is toxic to chinchillas! You would think if someone was making things like this they would research safe woods … I will be returning it which is super disappointing since the design looks great

Works great for bunnies and their eyes!
Love that it keeps the hat tidy and bunnies less prone from getting their eyes poked from the hay.

Less Mess
It is a little big and maybe bulky for some but it DEFINITELY helps with the hay mess. I am using it for my free roam rabbit. I was using a carboard box with a hole cut in it but he couldn’t pull the hay out without the box moving and eventually making a mess. This is heavy enough, it stays in place. It holds a LOT of hay and for whatever reason he makes a LOT less of a mess since I bought this. I love it and I think my rabbit does to!

Perfect if it was made of pine
It was heavy and well made. It was what I was looking for except it was made of cedar. The oils in cedar make me nervous with my small pets.
