Love the size to use as a beach tote. Will easily hold beach towels. The monogram is a little too shiney for my liking making it look a little tackey but I can live with it because the bag is so nice. The little matching makeup bag is cute too and matches perfectly. Would be 5 stars if the monogram was a little better made.

Above expectations
I live in midcoast Maine, and my best friend owned & captained a schooner for 20 years, so I’ve seen a *lot* of nautical-themed tote bags. I’m pretty in love with this one. It’s huge. I’m going on an overnight trip out of state in a couple weeks, and I’m very likely going to use this bag.The outside is a nice light canvas, and there is a grey polyester lining. The inside zipper pocket is lined with a different, waterproof lining, and is 8″ x 12″ big (I actually said–out loud–“oh wow” when I opened it). The stitched, divided open pocket is made with a double-layer of the polyester, so it’s stronger than many of my other bags’ attached inner pockets. It’s 6.5″ by 10.75″, with one section 6.5″ wide and the other 4.25″, which pretty perfectly fits my phone. The zippers are a good weight, and work easily and well. The handle is super soft, thick 1/2″ rope, and it goes through a gold-tone grommet into the inside of the bag, where it is knotted, and accessible (as opposed to being covered by the lining). The bottom jute section is more of a rustic burlap, a little darker than shown in the product photo and a little more of an open weave, but I *love* that about it. It’s been treated or attached to some form of clear liner to be sturdier as a base.To be clear, this is a lighter-weight, “casual” bag. It’s not intended to be the same level of rugged as a seafaring marine canvas. It *is* a pretty perfect bag to go to the beach, or take for a trip, or shopping, or camping, or on an overnight.I love it. I will be using this a lot, and can definitely, whole-heartedly recommend this.

Carried all over Mexico
I like that this bag is big and brightly colored, and monogrammed, it made it easy to identify that this bag was mine. My husband and I went on a day cruise in Mexico and were able to fit our towels, 2 full face snorkeling masks, and sunscreen, and there was still room. The little bag that comes with it is perfect for storing meds, phones, keys. There are inside pockets that can also fit phones, hold sunscreen so it’s not rolling around, etc. The rope is shoulder strap was surprisingly comfortable. When water was dripped on it, it didn’t even get wet. When it was laid in the sand of the beach, the sand shook off easily. I was able to pack it flat in my suitcase, and it didn’t take up really valuable space. This really could be more than a beach bag. It’s a good vacation bag!

Ordered this bag to take with us for a recent beach vacation in Cancun. Size, design, fabric weight, everything is quality with this bag. Wife loved the matching mini bag she used for makeup. Held our towels, lotions, magazines, snacks, and headphones. The perfect beach bag at a great price!
