I already spoil the squirrels and birds at the park …
… and now I have even more black oil sunflower seeds to spoil them with. These seeds are whole and perfect-looking seeds. Sometimes, in the past, I’ve bought black oilers and get some open seeds, just shells, or parts of the sunflower in the bag. And the last 25-pound bag of seeds, I slit open the box and accidentally slit open the bag … I’m still cleaning up sunflower seeds that went everywhere!! I don’t have a feeder, but I walk in a park daily and have a few spots where I scatter sunflower seeds, peanuts (and sometimes walnuts) so my furry and feathered friends look for me as you might imagine. My new problem is the ducks and geese are stealing the seeds from under the squirrels and birds’ noses, er … snouts and beaks. 🙂 I’m pleased with the seeds and my quick delivery and easier to store a 10-pound bag of seeds than a 25-pound bag I will order again Sarah, I assure you. My Chickens Love These!
I initially bought these when one of my chickens was molting. Her feathers grew back in shiny and beautiful. I discovered that the chickens prefer these to their grubs, and I’ve continued to supplement their diet with these daily. When I give them several treats at the same time, they eat these first. I’m sure they would be good for wild birds too, but I don’t use them in my bird feeders because i fear they might germinate if the birds knock them to the ground.

I feel the squirrels, birds and what other critters that may come into my yard. They animals seem to enjoy the seeds. They are always fresh and whole seeds. This is the only brand I’ll buy, and have been purchasing for over a year. My critters live them and so do I.
