Good product
Exactly what I wanted in a hair paste. Good hold and leaves my hair with a nice texture once it dries. Only thing I’m not in love with is the smell. It’s not bad by any means but it’s not favorite smell either.

Great creamlike consistency makes it easy to apply, but very light hold
I have thin (and unfortunately, thinning) hair, so I like to use a matte fibre product to give my hair some more volume without making it too stiff. It’s a nice trick for those of us with short and thinning hair to make it look like you have a bit more hair than you still do. Until now, I’ve always used Bed Head or American Crew, but I’ve found those two products will get very hard, almost silly putty-like, and difficult to use and apply, before I’ve finished with them. I was attracted to the cream texture of the Blackstone Paste and it didn’t disappoint. It is soft and creamy and easy to apply. Also, it smells great. And it does thicken and provide some hold. However, it is a very light hold, so you have to work a little to figure out the right amount to use in order to actually get a thickening effect without weighing the hair down. If light hold is what your after, this would be perfect for you.If this stuff doesn’t harden like other fibre pastes I’ve purchased, I’ll update the review after a few months to say whether it does. It will be nice not to have to throw away half the container as I have had to do with other brands. But, given the lightness of the hold here, I may still be on a search for the perfect thickening fibre paste.

Smells great but not matte finish
Great scent, but has more of a shiny finish and weighs the hair down rather than adding a matte finish with volume.

The only fiber cream I’ll use
I’ve tried numerous products. They’re either too sticky, too oily, or don’t have enough hold.This has good ingredients, adds some thickness, and is the perfect texture. Just make sure to work it in a bit.You also might need to experiment with how much to use. Less for a messier hairstyle and more for a tighter hold and solid look.
