Decent light and sound, cheap construction
The hat itself is soft, stretchy, and warm. It fits my husband’s big nugget comfortably. The light is easy to turn on and has 3 different settings – 2 brightness levels, and one blue/red flashing setting. It is bright enough to light an area directly in front of you, so say a dark closet or a vehicle’s engine bay will be well lit enough to do basic things. The speakers play in stereo, get sufficiently loud, and the convenience of them being encased in the hat itself is really nice. The actual sound quality of them leaves something to be desired, but they aren’t horribly tinny. The wires for the speakers are not enclosed for some reason, but instead tucked into the fold of the brim where they are just floating between connection points. When putting the hat on/off you have to be aware as to whether or not the wires are sticking out/if they need tucked back in. I’m sure it won’t be long before this proves to be an issue here, as my husband is rough on his outer wear. I also found the buttons that control the bluetooth/music settings to be extremely cheap feeling (you know that plasticky click) and the fabric with the labels over the top of the buttons slides around so they don’t line up with each other. The bluetooth was straightforward and simple to connect with his phone. The volume +/- buttons for some reason were shuffling songs <> instead, so not sure if that’s an iPhone setting issue or what. I’m underwhelmed with this product, but it will serve its purpose for now

This works as advertised
So, I would give this five stars but, the directions were awful. I haven’t seen this type of charging for a light before. After I figured out how to stick this in a USB type A port everything else fell into place. I’ve seen USB sticks that are like this but not as a charging port. You stick the USB port in with no surrounding support. The hat sounded better than expected but noting to write home about. Its priced well for the quality. I would probably design this different; it’s a good idea but needs a few tweaks.
