Sounds great for its size
The Bobtot Portable Speaker Bluetooth, 30W Peak IPX6 Waterproof Speaker Wireless with Punchy Bass, Loud Sound, RGB, 20H Playtime, Dual Pairing for Party, Camping, Beach is a really nice speaker for the size. I was surprised by the weight when I removed it from the box. Heavier weight for the size usually means heavier drivers for better sound, and it exceeded my expectations. I’ve tested a few other similar, but larger, speakers and this little unit sounds better. Of course it doesn’t have window shaking bass, but it sounded more full at the lower frequencies than I expected for its size. I may purchase another to try the dual pairing feature for true stereo sound.

Nice and loud but could be cheaper
This is a great little speaker that can get pretty loud for most situations. I tried this out mostly indoors and in my backyard as I dealt with some cleaning and organizing. The speaker was always loud enough and maxing the volume did not distort any of the music played.Bass is decent but not as deep as other portable speakers I’ve tried of similar size and design. However, I do feel one has to crank up the volume for it to really kick in (lower volumes sound pretty flat in my opinion).Battery life was pretty great, I used it for about 2-3 hours a day for 3 days before needing to recharge. Volume in these scenarios was mixed, so hard to really evaluate unless levels and tracks are kept constant.Size is very convenient and it fits well in my toolbag to carry with me when doing these outdoor chores, I like that it’s a bit rugged and offers some water resistance since I’m planning on mostly taking this around with me when tackling outdoor tasks.I haven’t tried the TWS feature as I’ve only gotten one of these. It’s nice that it’s supported, but I wasn’t able to try this out for this review. Bluetooth connectivity was pretty solid and I never had any problems with music cutting out or anything.Finally, for the price I feel this speaker could’ve been a bit better. It’s not a bad speaker by any means, but I own a couple of very similar speakers that either outperform this one or cost less. This is somewhere in the middle, which is why I’m taking off one star.It’s a nice speaker, but even better if you can get it on sale!

Odd design (speakers fire out of the side) but overall pretty good sounding
Other than the odd design choice of having the speakers not aimed out the front, but instead just fire out of the left side if you are looking on axis at the front of the speaker, this is great sounding.It’s warm, voices and acoustics sound good, it’s a little overly bright in the treble but not painfully so. The bass remains under control for the most part even during difficult tracks. The aitocga A7 Pro is the other speaker in the pic, it’s usually the clear winner in the $30sh dollar range, but it sounds weird compared to the Bobtot ET 100.The light effects are either flash to a new color quickly, or breath slowly to a new color or just off.
