Way too fun!
This tiny microphone works well out of the box. But the fun is the deep voice and chipmunk voice special effects! There is a tiny button on the receiver. Watch the blue light. Two clicks and it blinks once. You are in deep voice mode. Two more clicks. Watch for two blinks of the blue light. Now you are in chipmunk. You can unplug the receiver to return to normal. When you plug it back in, watch for a steady blue light. You are linked in normal voice. This is a blast to play with. Kids will love it! If you put an ipad on front camera and take a video, the playback is in perfect sync. Wahoo!!

WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
I was looking for a tiny affordable mic that has great audio. This is what I got. If the video goes through you can hear the sound out of this mic. I didn’t try it with the Noise reduction because I never like the sound of noise reduction on any microphone. I’ve only had it a few hours and love it already.

Stellar in a pinch, but not for mission-critical moments
This is a beautiful concept. Itâs the smallest wireless mic case Iâve ever seen â even smaller than some single-mic cases. I love the rounded corners and the tiny size of the mics! Even the wind screens fit in the case unlike some alternative small mic cases. This feels great in the hand. Iâm used to a DJI Mic 2 set, but that case is large, heavy and expensive in comparison â not something youâd want to tote around everyday. I can just throw this in my EDC bag and be ready at a momentâs notice when I need to film.As for the rest, Iâm less impressed.The audio from this got glitchy and cut out sooner than it did with some cheaper mini mic cases Iâve distance-tested around corners and walls. If youâre conducting an interview in the same room, it will probably work great, but Iâd be wary about traveling any distance with this or turning your back to the camera.My other stress test is to do a dramatic reading as if to an audience, projecting my voice and reading different charactersâ parts with all their various high and low pitches. Turns out all that volume gets easily muffled by this mic, even when itâs a button or two down on my shirt with the included windscreen. There doesnât seem to be a way for me to adjust the gain on here.What that tells me is that this canât be absolutely trusted for important interviews where a subject might get emotional or loud at any given moment. It will work 99 percent of the time when folks speak at a normal volume, but thereâs always a risk of the audio being clipped. And because itâs fed straight into your phone, you wonât even have the backup audio recording of your phone camera to revert to, as the Boya track replaces it.Otherwise, this still seems good to keep on hand when Iâm in a pinch, because some good audio is better than no good audio. Just use something better when itâs mission-critical.Boya has nailed the size of the perfect travel mic set. Now it just needs to iron out the wrinkles.

Great little wireless mic set.
This Boya Mini wireless mic set includes 2 transmitters, 2 receivers (one with USB-C connector and one with a Lightning connector), a charging case, and an instruction manual.The charging case fits both transmitters (this is the only place where they can be charged) and one receiver. Even though the kit comes with both a USB-C and a Lightning equipped receivers, there is only room in the case for one of them and so you have to choose which one you will keep and which you will inevitably lose since it is not kept with the others.I tested this microphone using a Samsung S22 Ultra and the Blackmagic Camera App.The mic worked great with a nice full, warm sound even when standing 30+ feet from the receiver.The mic has 3 levels of noise reduction which all sound ok, but the best thing about the built-in noise reduction is that it can be completely turned off, which is my preference for general use unless you are in a particularly windy or noisy environment.The one strange thing about this set is that it has two options of voice disguise. One called ‘Uncle’ and one named ‘female’. Unless you are in a situation where you are needing to hide someones identity, I cannot think of any reason you even want to use this feature. The Uncle lowers the pitch of the voice and alters it to the point that it is unrecognizable from the actual speaker. The ‘Female option raises the pitch to produce a cartoonish sound, totally unusable except for very select circumstances.One other issue I had with the fake voice sounds is that it is hard to tell whether that feature is on or off. I recorded an entire test segment with it on with out knowing. That would be very unfortunate if done in the real world.The little LED light on both on the transmitter and receiver switches between blue and green indicating that the noise reduction is on (green) or off (blue), but there is nothing to visually confirm on/off status of the voice changing feature. I think this needs to be added in a future upgrade.The output level of the mic is quite high. If you are using an app such as Blackmagic camera, or FilmicPro, it is not a problem as those apps allow for you to control the input gain. If the app you are using does not have that feature, I fear that the audio may clip. Even between the transmitter and Receiver, you can tell that the signal is strong, as when it is brought into a DAW, the wave form have very even peaks which would suggest the signal was hitting some sort of internal limiter, even though when recording the meters in the app only peaked at about -12dBFS.Overall, I really like the sound quality and size of these mics. I am not really in favor of this type where the mic is the transmitter. I generally feel that they are too obtrusive in the shot. But if I must have this type then Boya Mini is a least very small.

Apesar dessa diferença, não considero isso um motivo para devolução, mas acho válido ressaltar.Utilizo o microfone em conjunto com um Galaxy S23 Ultra e um gimbal Hohem iSteady V3, e a combinação do peso leve e do design compacto permite gravações de alta qualidade em qualquer lugar.

These microphones are so tiny and lightweight youâll forget you still have them on!,At first glance they look like a pair of ear buds. Theyâre actually smaller than ear buds and a little lighter. They fit into a similar style charging case and the case also houses the usb c receiver unit.On someone elseâs review they give these 1 star because they have a bulky phone case on that doesnât work with this little receiver. Provided you are using a regular sized phone case and not a numpty proof one built for extremely clumsy folk youâll be fine. I certainly didnât have any problems using this with my phone wearing its Spigen case.Mic quality is surprisingly very good. I guess youâd expect that for microphones costing this much. Recordings made with them are very clear indeed. The voice changer feature is gimmicky. They didnât really need to include it but I guess itâs a novelty and could also help disguise your voice if youâre wanting to do vlogs without people knowing your real voice – or interviewing someone who wishes to remain anonymous.Seeing as Iâve never had something like this before I donât really know what they should cost. Theyre certainly not cheap but they do feel of very good quality so Iâm going to give them full marks. Most impressive kit!
