I was looking for a USB powered light string to go behind my monitors and this works perfectly. The lighting is even with no variation. The kit included clear mounts to make it easier to put onto my monitors. There is an elegant fade in/out when you turn them on/off.Total time of ownership 3hrs.

These are basically what they say they are, and decent for the price. Light quality seems good enough, although I think it’s a little bluish for the claimed 4000K.The adhesive is indeed terrible, but that’s not important for how I was using it. The real frustration is that it always defaults to off when plugged in, which defeats my plan of using it from a remotely-switchable USB port — and would likewise be annoying if you’re powering this from a TV or other device that doesn’t provide power when off (they wouldn’t turn on together… you’d have to push the button each time).

Perfect for my project
I was needing about 3′ of lights and a fairly long cord and this was it! It has a dimming feature as well. They come with glue dots and a little casing for the strip to fit in to glue but the glue hasn’t stayed very well. None are hanging under an edge of wood so I’m just used a little piece of gorilla tape and it’s perfect.

Adhesive has preformed perfectly. I have read many many reviews of this light strip with complaints about the adhesion problems. It is mounted to the bottom of a week old painted shelf.I have purchased many other brands and this is the first that actually stuck to the bottom of the shelf it was mounted to.I am wondering if the problems other users are having are results of dirty surfaces, textured surfaces or mounting to a material that is made to reduce adhesion, like lots of plastic material.What is amazing is the continuous strip of light, instead of small led light sources seperated by plastic. Very very bright, takes the place of three strips of led bulb strips with much more lumen output.Great product
