Great led strips
I put these both over and under our kitchen cabinets for indirect lighting and we love them. What’s good about these for this purpose is the LEDs are close together and they are covered with a built in diffuser which allows for more uniform light (no light spotting from each individual LED).I’m controlling these with a SP530e controller and it works fine. Phone app is pretty decent. See my review on it for more details.I’m powering these with Mean Well 24v power supplies (selected them based on reviews) and they work well. Again, see my separate review on it for more details.I also bought the kit of plastic crimp connectors & splice wires, but that kit garbage (see my review on that product for details). Do yourself a favor if you buy this LED light strip and buy some 18 gauge wire and a good soldering iron instead (if you don’t already have one) and solder the wires directly to the LED strip.Be aware that these LED strips can only do a single color of your choice at any point in time (no chasing patterns), which was fine for our kitchen. I also bought some of the FCOB IC version to put on our deck (party area) as those can do multi color patterns such as chasing, but I don’t have those installed yet.

Awesome product! Pleasantly surprised!
I got a set of these to install in the ceiling of my screened in porch for mood lighting. They are fantastic and work perfectly with the recommended wireless controller module. I plan to install more in my theater room. The only drawback was that the included splicing connectors are only intended for connecting wires to the end of a cut section. They do not work for splicing two cut ends together, but this would not be a concern for most purchasers I imagine. You can cut easily these strips and attach wire leads to the resulting segments so they can be used independently. And… most important, they look fantastic!

Bright LEDs, goofy remote, questionable adhesive strip
The LEDs are very bright and though you can see the individual LEDs shining through the protective cover, the light is diffused by the opaque color of the cover. Color changes are smooth and even across the strip.Things are not perfect though. The remote is goofy. Four of the color buttons are mislabeled or misprogrammed. E.G. the green button turns the strip red and the red button turns the strip green. Same swictheroo for the pin and cyan buttons. It’s annoying.Also, this LED kit is not cheap. It’s sort of a “premium” offering. As such I expected 3M adhesive tape on the back but it’s non-branded. Time will tell how long/how well the sticky stuff stays sticky, but 3M is a known-good adhesive. I would’ve liked to see it.Time will tell how well the LEDs hold up, but that’s my initial out of the box review.

Great as long as youâre comfortable fiddling.
I bought a couple of these to put around the ceiling in my living room, knowing it would be a bit fiddly to get it working how I want. After some research I figured out how to connect the lights, and HomeKit controller and the power supply, but found that both kits came with the same connector for close strip connecting. Reached out to the manufacturer to confirm whether I was not understanding how to put it together, and they offered to ship the correct connectors out to me. Will update with pictures once I get it all going correctly.Color is great, and controlling it with the Athom HomeKit controller is a bit laggy, but the color accuracy is amazing. I probably wonât use the color parts that much, but itâs nice to have the option as needed.

Power Supply smoking
I purchased this kit thinking that it would simplify the DIY aspect of my project and me not having to piece the necessary components together. While the idea is very nice and convenient, the execution of this idea was poor. I bought these to use under my kitchen cabinets, only parts I had to supply was extra wire for sectioning and separating the lights. The first time I plugged them in, the power supply blinked twice, then hummed, and the switch started smoking. After that, the lights never came on again, and now the switch just smokes within 5 minutes of plugging them in. I would return them if I could, but unfortunately the LED strip is all cut to lengths of my cabinets.

Wife’s classroom loves it
My wife wanted something for her classroom to provide some extra light. When I saw this i figured she can do better than just a light. With the ability to turn it on and off with the remote, change the color and even allow for the light to interact with music or voice, this has become a hit.She was able to mount it easily under the cupboard, and it has worked for the last 6 months. Overall seemed like good quality and fits wherever you can stick the strip to. She liked it so much we had to get another LED strip so I’d recommend….

Another Excellent Light Strip from BTF
Just love BTF Lights and these are no exception. These LED strips are fantastic for adding smart lighting to your home decor. The colors are vibrant, and the kit is easy to set up with both WiFi and Bluetooth control through the app. I love that they sync up with music, which is great for parties or just setting the mood. The flexibility of the strips makes them versatile for various setups. One minor downside is that the remote can be a little finicky, but overall, itâs a solid 5-star product!
