very nice mic works great
Very easy to use. Just plug into the computer, make sure the computer recognizes it in the sound settings, open some recording program like audacity and start recording. When I use it on skype my friends love the clarity of my voice. They can hear everything in the room even when I’m at the far corner. You can adjust the gain and bass on this which is useful for when recording music. this mic is well made worth the $ and it looks nice. I would recommend this mic to anyone. I would also recommend getting a wind screen for it (ZRAMO® Th22 Foam Ball-type Mic Windscreen, Black 2pc Pack-ideal for CAD U37 USB Mic and other Ball-type Mics to Reduce the occurrence of wind, breath sounds and popping noises. Also keeps your mic clean.PROS well built for being (plastic) recording sound & skype calls are great even better if yous have a wind screen on it. mic looks verynice.nice long 10′ USB cord. mic stand is very nice.easy setup. works great on WIN 10. great price.CONS – NOT REALLY A BIG DEAL just thought I’d mention it.#1 NOT really that big of deal but wist it had a on/off switch. #2 the screw/nut that attaches the mic to the stand is (plastic) NOT a big dealunless you adjust the angle of the mic a lot or over tighten it, it will strip the threads easy fix is to buy a metal one like thisMonoprice 602000 Screw Thread Adapter for Microphone Stand (5/8 Male to 3/8 Female)about the mic stand although it’s a nice stand it does take up some room on your desk. if you have limited space on your desk I would recommend getting this I have this and it works great. So far, so good…
I just received this today, but still I’d like to give my first impressions. The device came with NO assembly instructions. That would have been nice, but after looking over all the pieces I figured it out without breaking anything. The lone instructions that are provided are for how to configure the device using a MAC OS or Windows XP. I have Windows 10. An update would be nice here.It is plug-n-play, but mine did NOT play, but instead it immediately silenced my speakers which were playing music at the time. It took me quite a while to discover the trouble. For some bizarre reason the new microphone had set itself as the DEFAULT speaker output, supplanting my original settings. Ergo no sound. So once I returned the settings for my REAL speakers, everything worked fine. [I’m not placing blame on the microphone, as I have no idea why this happened. It could’ve been a Microsoft issue. Who knows?]The sound quality is good. The mic is very sensitive and depending what audio software you’re using, your mileage will vary. Some people are satisfied, while others are angry with this microphone, but from my experience and from what I’ve seen on-line, the performance of this mic depends greatly on the audio software used with the mic. I’ve got three [including what comes with Windows] and the performance does indeed vary from software to software. My “AVS Audio Editor” requires 100% sound levels and it is still a very quiet recording, even when speaking loudly and right into the mic. Meanwhile my “WavePad Sound Editor” records very loud and clear at 80% and I don’t dare be any closer than 2 feet of the mic or there is distortion. I’ve tested this puppy by walking all around the room, getting as far away as possible [8 feet within the room] and it picks up my normal speaking voice as if I was standing right next to it. In fact it caught the sound of a passing motorcycle as well. Choose wisely. That’s it for now. As I stated, I just got this today, so if any trouble develops in the future I’ll write an update.

Just alright
Needed an additional mic for when my girlfriend and I game, but I didn’t want to shell out a ton of money. It serves it’s purpose, but I do have to use a fair about of plugins to get it to sound well. Just can’t speak too loudly, otherwise your audio all blowout and distorted.
