Saved my dog from the cone of shame
After having worn a cone for weeks, someone recommended a surgical suit. I found this one on Amazon and I’m glad I did. It was fairly easy to put on, but the legs were super long for a pug/beagle mix. It was an easy fix to cut the legs down to the right length. I wasn’t looking to protect her legs from licking, so this suit worked well. It was tight enough for her to move and go to the bathroom while wearing the suit, but not so tight that she was uncomfortable. She didn’t seem to mind wearing the suit and it was much better than having her bang into things with the cone on her head. I would recommend trying this suit for your dog.

I have a 1 year old pug who sheds everywhere when he gets in my car. I have black interior and it’s stressful to see the fur flying around. I looked online and a suit like this was suggested. When I ordered, I knew it probably wouldn’t fit perfectly because every dog is unique and shaped differently. He weights around 25 pounds and after I measured him I decided to order a large. It fits his body perfectly but, as expected, the legs are long. Hopefully I can have the legs taken up so it fits a little better. I haven’t tried it out in the car yet but hopefully it does the trick. I will try to update my review later on, after a few uses.Updating after a few uses: if you have a pug you should keep in mind that the legs and arms will be far too long. If you aren’t able to make alterations to it, I would skip buying this product. My little pug managed to completely undress himself from the park to our home, which is about a 5 minute ride max.

Works perfectly
I measured and ordered a small. It burst the zipper almost immediately. I then returned and got a medium. It worked perfectly so I got another. My Bichon had ACL surgery. He reacted to the tape the Vet applied. This stopped him from licking the sores the tape created. When the bandage came off it stopped him from licking the tape created sores and his stitches. I tried a blow up pillow collar but he has a long narrow neck so it didn’t work. Legs are a tad long but I fold them up. He can easily pee in the suit. Once his winky wasn’t all the way out and I didn’t know until pee ran down his leg. That is why I have two suits. I highly recommend.

The sizing is very off. First I got the small medium couldn’t get it on my dog, then got a Larger one i got it on but the legs were too long. The under zipper is hard to adjust and also easy for the dog to get and chew off!

Triple check sizing, very thin stretchy fabric
Sizing is tricky but my dog is unusual size. Opted for XXXL/3XL (way bigger than her weight and neck/chest size), she’s very long (longer than longest measurement in chart. 75 pounds, thick husky shepherd fur (add two inches for that or fur will get pinched in zipper). Extremely long leg lengths are dangerous tripping hazards so expect to cut and sew or fabric glue hems to size. There is no hem anyways (rather cheap sewing job). I folded and rolled the legs up for safety but the fabric is slippery and unrolls and gets caught under the foot and causes gait instability. No way would this be suitable for post op- too cumbersome to put on, zipper is not great, any dog could shred bite through this in seconds if they wanted at sutures. I purchased to reduce the dog hair explosion for long road trips and every inch of my car and passengers are covered in hair. It worked well for minimizing shed. Dog will pee on the crotch area so it’s must be removed to pee which reduces ease- the opening would work better if it was a proper fit (I can’t blame design here as again, German shepherd here is very long neck to butt) and this leotard crotch 🤣was too tight for her. Could walk OK once used to it but couldn’t jump into the car as stretch bounced back and took her a few tries. Indoor and very limited use would be best. I won’t buy again and will maybe seek out another brand for better sizing and zipper quality. Not a fail but meh …. I suspect hand wash or delicates only… this thing won’t survive a normal laundry wash.

Size chart is way off
I used their size chart and carefully measured by Yorkie as a Small, but it is too sloppy big to keep on her. It is a hazard since her legs get into the body of the suit, which leaves her no way to walk; this is particularly hazardous if she is near stairs, on the couch, or outdoors. The item cannot be returned because the instructions are to immediately cut the legs (They come about 2 times longer than needed to accommodate any dog).While the back zipper is heavy duty enough for a Yorkie, with a flap beneath the zipper to help not catch her hair in it, the zipper underneath (near the privates! — which must be unzipped for the dog to urinate) has a pull that is smaller than a dress zipper pull and has no flap to help hair from getting into the zipper. This makes it painful.The idea is great. The fabric is as heavy-duty as I expected. the fabric is extra stretchy, which makes getting the suit onto the dog easy enough. But the suit is unusable if you follow their size chart. (I also bought an extra-small for by Bichon, but the same was true.) For my dogs, I think I would need something two sizes smaller than they measure, but the company does not make those.

I like that’s it’s light weight, but it seems to stretch, I’ve had yo make adjustments to it to fit, the a couple days later it’s too big again. I wish I would have ordered a smaller size.
