Perfect for my Great Pyrenees mix
We got a Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd Dog puppy earlier this year, although she looks more like a Newfie with her long, black hair. I have tried all kinds of brushes for her, but this set seems to work the best. I will comb out her knots and tangles (around her neck, her elbows, her butt and tail) with the metal comb and then brush her with the slicker brush and I’m amazed at how much hair comes off. I was joking that I could make another dog with all the hair I took off her, but when I tried, it looked more like a cat 😹. We named him Smokey II.The bristles on the brush are nice and long, which is great for getting through her thick undercoat. At first I found cleaning the brush to be a pain, but then I tried using the comb to peel the fur off the brush and that worked perfectly. Overall I’m happy with this set and would recommend it to a friend with a large breed, long haired dog.

At first use, he wasn’t real sure. But our Havanese has learned to love it. Or maybe it’s the treat that follows the brushing. Either way, this brush is perfect for his type of hair. Otherwise he’ll get a little matted. Great quality! I can already tell that this product will last a while.
