I recently started using this additive on my dogs’ food. Though it smells awful to me, it doesn’t bother them and all three tolerate it. I’m anxious to see how well this cleans their teeth over time. Good value for the quantity.

Ive used it 2 wks I dont put it on his food i rub it directly on his teeth . He loves it but it hasnt removed any tartar not helped breath either . Ill keep trying.

The dogs seem to like the flavor. Comes with a convenient scooper that makes it easy to measure. Great value for the price. I use this and the finger wipes for the dental hygiene of my dogs.

Pet dental powder
My dogs are 10, 12 and 18. They can benefit from a food additive, because they don’t like their teeth brushed. This product can be added to wet food, it just gets sprinkled on the top. First impression when opening the box, is that this scoop is much larger than other similar products. Directions say to give up to one scoop for small dogs, but I only put a 1/4 scoop on my 6lb Chihuahua’s food. The smell is a little strong, it’s similar to a “marine” type odor, but my dogs didn’t seem to mind. The smell does seem to lessen, the more the jar gets opened. I’ve been using the powder for about two weeks now, and it certainly helps their breath, plaque seems to be lessening. Pet dental powder could be a valuable addition to your pet’s daily routine, it’s worth trying it.

It Works
Does a great job at cleaning my dog’s teeth. My dog has notoriously horrible breath – she regularly eats cat “Tootsie rolls” out of the litter box. Plus, she’s an older dog with a couple of broken teeth. I’m hoping that over time this powder will improve her overall mouth health. I do have to mix it in her food well, or else she won’t eat it, but once I do she eats her food fine.

I’ve been looking for this type of product for a bit out of curiosity and in hopes it’ll improve my almost 15-year-old dog’s dental hygiene. She has a lot of teeth issues, and her breath is rancid. She’s also extremely picky.I like how it’s a powder, so she doesn’t have to chew. (There’s not much she’ll chew anymore anyway since her teeth hurt, and she’s probably missing a few.)We typically mix her kibble with water to soften it. I tried dumping 2 scoops of powder on top; she didn’t like that and ate around it. When I mixed it in, it was better, but she was already onto me. (Next time I’ll mix it in beforehand.)It smells like broccoli, and all 3 of my dogs like that. I don’t like how the suggested portions are in kilograms. Super inconvenient! I converted the measurements, which is as follows:< 10 lbs. | 1 scoop10-20 lbs. | 2 scoops20-45 lbs. | 3 scoops> 45 lbs. | 4 scoopsThose numbers are approximate. I also don’t recall the directions sharing how many times a day to give it to them. (My dogs eat twice a day.)I guessed initially and gave my 25 lb. dog 2 scoops. Turns out, that was the correct amount. The container of powder is smaller than I expected, and it doesn’t share how many servings (scoops) there are in each container. It’d be nice to know how long a supply it is for the cost. Right now, it doesn’t seem like a good deal.What would make it a 5-star is 1) bigger container with number of servings/scoops listed, 2) confirmation my dog loves it and it actually works, and 3) convert kg measurements to pounds.
