Amazing Ultrawide Lens for Canon RF Mount
Just received the Canon RF 14-35mm lens this afternoon. My first impressions are that the lens is very lightweight and will be great for both photos as well as videography on a gimbal. 14mm RAW images have a lot of distortion and vignetting, which Adobe will later be correcting with a lens profile, but is not available as of this moment. However, the images are sharp, and at 35mm as seen in the provided sample image, the color and images come out beautiful. Will be updating this review once I have had more time to test the lens, but for now I’m super excited to have this glass in my camera bag, especially for videography with my Canon mirrorless bodies!

14-35 has been one of my most reached for lense since I’ve gotten it, from street photography, to using my R5 as a webcam this lense has performed well. I like the zoom range when using it for online games that look at the table as I can adjust it just right. Had this lense for several years now, with me on multiple international trips, always in my backpack and the lense is holding up well and is light enough I don’t notice it in my smaller packs.

Fantastic lens
Great wide angle lens that exemplifies Canonsâ ability to craft high quality lenses. While I often wish for wider aperture than f/4.0, this lens is still my fav on the R6 it was my first R series lens purchased after acquiring the R6 – previously I was using L series lenses with the adapter, and they work well, but I needed to replace my ten years old Tokina 11-16 wide lens, and this 14-35 was for me a great choice.Great depth of field and low chromatic aberrations or edge distortions allow for lots of creative uses. Highly recommend this lens.

Amazing Lens I would definitely recommend.
I ordered this lens and received it the next day unexpectedly when I ordered basic shipping so the shipping time was amazing to begin with. I also bought a separate order, a Canon EOS R 4K full Frame body for this lens and they’re both Excellent products so far on quality. Overall I would highly recommend this Lens for Full frame Photography and Videography.

Very sharp, the vignette is not an issue fixable, fast, the colors are so accurate, IS is very effective, it covers so much area without distortion, and the price is discounted; I watched so many videos before buying it; ultimate lens, I love it

Not a bad lens
I bought this lens because of the 77mm front filter thread and close focus specification…the lens does focus close, but it really isn’t acceptably sharp to me until the camera-subject distance is increased. At 14mm there is great disparity between what you see in the viewfinder (the .jpg’s are beautiful), and what the raw image looks like. I would expect distortion from a 14mm rectilinear full frame lens, but with this lens, applying software lens correction to raw files is a MUST at the wide end, to fix distortion and remove extreme corner vignetting. The severeness of this is reduced by 16-18mm. To me, the lens doesn’t feel as sharp as it could be at any focal length, but it’s really only noticeable when pixel peeping…that surprised me as most other RF lenses are reported to be very sharp. Construction seems solid, IS and AF are fantastic on my R6 body. Overall. I have no complaints, but think this is a good, slightly quirky lens that would be a great lens at half the price.

This is a great travel lens that covers the wide end of the trinity. I was pleasantly surprised by the light weight and short barrel length, perfect as a âbonusâ lens in my bag. Every millimeter counts on the wide end so 14mm is a nice feature. I shoot mostly landscapes with some urban settings so f4 hasnât been an issue when paired with a body with IBIS. No regrets.
