Poorly designed product. I had a sweater comb from another manufacturer long ago and it worked marvelously. This thing barely touched the fibers – there isn’t enough abrasive texture to even pick up anything, let alone that the one I received was crooked. Threw it out. 🫤

Clean favorite old sweaters
My old sweaters are my favorite, but they are heavily pilled. This comb is easy to use but does not clean the sweater quite as well as I would have liked. And cleaning the comb is rough on your hands. I honestly have never found a product that cleaned my sweaters as well as I would like. This comb works as well as anything I have tried including a battery powered shaver.

This works great to get rid of piling on small areas. I used it on the cuffs of a sweatshirt and it worked great, I just went in the direction of the fabric and they came right off.

I used to have a battery operated sweater shaver and the way this was presented on Today Show I thought this would be similar. It doesn’t work at all – does not remove any pills without actually pulling the fabric. Waste of money.

Great for acrylic blend sweaters that pull, performs perfectly. It also a great travel size!

I used the fine comb to depill some cashmere jumpers, which it did quite well. I also used the wider comb on a chunkier jumper with much thicker yarn and it was good at removing pilling, but it also roughed up the yarn. I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no silver bullet depilling solution. You need to have different depillers for different knits and different types of pilling. This comb set is definitely worth adding to your repertoire but it’s not going to be the solution to all pilling.
