This is a great scratching post!Let me start by saying which I didn’t see in the reviews. It comes with a little plastic screws that screw through the outer cardboard shell through the corrugated scratching pads to hold them in place. All you have to do is line up the holes on the frame that sits into the base.It comes with plastic screws, a plastic screwdriver and little plastic two sided disk feet to stick it to the floor. I wouldn’t recommend sticking it to hardwood floors as the adhesive may damage it, but I have it on a vinyl floor.I’m blown away at the amount of thought put into this product. I was excited to put it together for my cat. He’ll me know how he feels about it when he wakes up from his nap.And!! You can purchase the refill boards separately too!! Wow.

Quick to assemble
It took me all of 5 minutes to put this together. I sprinkled catnip on it, and my cat was instantly in the box. She loves it. Unfortunately, it has not stopped her from continuing to use my furniture as scratching posts either, but that’s entirely her fault. More catnip I suppose might help.

This is cute, easy to put together. But way overpriced for what you get. Will not stand up along for the cat to use. Must be against something to keep it from falling over. Not very practical when they will be scratching on it.

I have been looking for an L-shaped cat scratcher that was *refillable.* I also like that the bottom part has a lip to keep the scraps in. Wouldn’t mind if it was a little larger, but overall, I couldn’t find anything else that serves these purposes as well as this does!
