Definitely Helps to Eliminate the Pain & Discomfort of Shaving with a Razor Blade!
This shaving cream has done absolute wonders toward helping me achieve the smooth, clean-shaven look I desire. My facial hair tends to grow pretty quickly, which means I usually have some fairly heavy beard stubble within just 24 hours of my next shave. Prior to discovering this Cremo product, my daily shaving routine in the morning consisted of using a Norelco electric shaver coupled with a pre-shave powder stick (i.e., Remington Face Saver Model SP-5). Due to my heavier stubble, using any sort of disposable razor blade was completely out of the question because doing so had previously proven too uncomfortable and irritating for my sensitive facial skin.I used that electric shaving method for years, but never actually felt (literally!) as if I was ever getting a truly close shave and frequently disliked my resulting facial appearance by just early to mid-afternoon. Because of my rapid stubble growth, it was not uncommon for me to appear as if I had the beginnings of a classic five oâclock shadow⦠WAY before five oâclock. That really irritated me because I always felt as though it made me appear rather unkempt (especially in the workplace), despite my very best efforts to appear otherwise. One day back in 2016, I happened to stumble upon this Cremo Original product in the shaving aisle at Walmart. The squeeze tube graphics caught my eye so I proceeded to read the info on the back of it. The claims of this cream were intriguing so I decided to give it a tryâ¦just for the heck of it. Wow, was this ever a game-changer! I was totally impressed by it then… and remain so today. Ever since, my face feels as smooth as a babyâs bottom (soundâs too much like a cliché, I know), which I had never before thought would even be possible to achieve without getting some sort of pricey professional shave. These days, my daily shaving routine still consists of pre-shaving with my electric razor for the purpose of cutting most of the longer stubble, but then immediately following up with Cremo and a 4-blade (my own personal preference) disposable safety razor. This provides me with a really close and smooth final shave without experiencing any discomfort from pulling or tugging on any longer stubble. To some folks, this method might seem a bit unconventional, but itâs really not that time-consuming and provides the kind of results I personally desire.Cremo makes your skin VERY slippery and that allows the razor blade to glide ever so easily over your face, cutting the stubble with far less effort. Plus, there’s no discomfort or skin irritation (i.e., razor burn) afterwards. Itâs like lube for oneâs faceâ¦and itâs really a very simple–yet highly-effective–product.Personally, I find the mild, citrusy scent of this Original shaving cream to be quite pleasant and refreshing and have no idea why some reviewers seem to take issue it. Itâs not particularly strong or offensive-smelling at all, despite the way they might make it seem. To each their own, I guess.Hereâs the directions from the back of the Cremo tube: âRub skin with the hottest water you can stand for 30 seconds. Crème is highly concentrated and water activated. Massage an almond-sized dollop onto your wet skin until a light lather forms. Less is often best. Shave. Add water as needed to keep it slippery, effective and easy to rinse from razor.âJust as those instructions say, I find that the most important part of this whole process is to first soften the stubble with hot water. The hotter the water and longer you can precondition (i.e., soften) your skin using hot water, the better. Thatâs how I manage to achieve the very smoothest shave. If I rush this part of the process and/or use water thatâs less hot, then the resulting shave is simply not as good. Itâs basically the same type of thing that the old-time barbers used to do when they placed a very hot towel on oneâs face prior to using a straight razor. Whenever Iâm not pressed for time, Iâll also occasionally shave while standing in the shower because I find that I can really soften up my entire face with hot water for a longer period of time that way. Also, just as the Cremo instructions say, only an almond-size amount of this cream is needed. Believe it or not, that small amount really does go a long way and thereâs really no need to use any more than that amount. For me, this has the added advantage of extending the amount of product usage I can squeeze out of one single tube of Cremo.Whenever I feel as though some extra lubrication is necessary, while shaving, I simply splash on a bit of additional hot water and rub things a little bit to relubricate. Itâs as simple as that, just like the directions say. A little bit of water is all thatâs needed⦠not more cream. Over-lathering does nothing more than waste product and serve to clog the disposable razor blade. In summary, I most definitely recommend this cream! I only wish that it hadn’t taken me so many years to discover a product like this one. Câest la vie.

Great for sensitive skin and goes a long way!
Have been using this product for the past three years ever since I was first gifted a Cremo shave kit. I had previously only used Gillette sensitive skin products and would go through them quite often due to having to use a good amount for a smooth shave on my sensitive skin and secondly due to my kiddos using it during shower time for their finger painting. With a small portion of this shave cream it would cover my full beard and mustache and gives such a smooth shave that I do not experience any razor burn as I did using other shower gels. Bought one for my dad to try and this man can shave with bar soap and not have any issues but surprisingly, he really digged it so I now get him his refills here on Amazon.

Excellent!!
Gives Art of Shaving a run for their money!! If you used AoS and are looking for a more budget – friendly alternative, look no further than this brand! While Cremo refuses to produce shaving oil, if you feel you still need that, I have found that mineral oil, aka baby oil, works very well for me. But I had also always found AoS shave oil to be too thick.I will likely never go back to AoS products because I don’t appreciate being asked to pay an exorbitant price for toiletries made by P&G. I do not see them as a luxury brand.I find that with mineral oil and Cremo shave cream in any scent, but especially in the sensitive skin version, my skin comes out cleanly shaven and I get very few nicks.

This is worth a try!
I almost gave this shaving cream 3-Star rating, but in all fairness, I’ve only used it twice. I guess I need to find the right balance of water and this cream – it dries very quickly on my face, way too quickly.I will keep experimenting, but honestly, my recently purchased shaving soap of another brand needs no experimenting, providing a great lather.I think this well known brand of shaving cream is worth a try, the price is very good.I’m going to use it again on my next shave. 🙂

rave shave
When The Body Shop stores closed, I knew their shaving cream would become scarce. My eyes gaped open when I saw it selling on Amazon for a mere $35 per jar. So, I immediately looked for a substitution, and Cremo (citrus) is what I chose. For $7.50 it’s excellent. Very creamy, lathers well, softens the beard, etc. It’s great stuff. Highly recommended.

Cremo is definitely worth a try!
Cremo Shaving Cream, Barber Grade Cooling Shave Cream is seriously my go-to for achieving the perfect shave every time. I love the way it glides on my skin, creating a smooth, rich lather that feels luxurious without being heavy. What truly sets it apart is that cooling sensation it provides, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and invigorated right from the start. I used to dread shaving because of irritation and razor burn, but this cream has completely changed the game. The formula is designed to reduce friction, which makes my razor glide effortlessly along my face. Plus, the sleek packaging looks great in my bathroom! I’ve used a ton of products over the years, but Cremoâs performance and soothing properties make it the winner hands down. If youâre searching for a reliable shaving cream that combines quality with a touch of barber-level expertise, Cremo is definitely worth a try!

My second favorite Cremo Shaving Cream
I have fallen in love with this after using Cremo’s Sandalwood scented shave cream since 2021. Sage and Citrus is a fresh scent that’s masculine without traditional musk undertones. I use this almost daily for my face and head. This will last me at least 4 months until I need to replace it. Cremo provides my skin with the best lubricant, allowing a smooth and effortless shaving glide.I think Sage & Citrus is a scent I will not get sick of…ever!
