Great product
I have a vase I made in high school that I wanted to be more functional. Not really suited for flowers, I found this product and turned it into a lamp! I had to shave down the largest “plug” with a kitchen knife to get it to fit, but the neck of the vase is a nonstandard size. Works great, super easy to use. The lampshade I bought doesn’t fit awfully well, but it works.

Great DIY for container base
Very quick delivery! We made lamps for the kids out of a big, glass storage jars to display their prized possessions. It was very easy to do and looks great and unique. If you notice, the cord comes out of the side of the socket, not the bottom threading through like typical lamps, so we could use a closed container as a base! The former complete kits we ordered had switches that turned to go on. My son’s stopped turning so the lamp wouldn’t work. We ordered this part, loving that it is a push switch to avoid the same problem again. Went in easily and our son has a reading light by his bed again within days!

Nice kit.
Really easy to put a lamp together with these, provided you know what size bottles it fits. I just know it doesn’t include a stopper big enough for the big Jack Daniels bottles. Had to improvise. 5 stars if it had bigger stoppers.

I purchased this kit to revive several vintage, stoneware bourbon jug lamps my dad put together many years ago. We did not drill the jugs. Using the prewired socket makes this really easy. The directions are simple to read, primarily pictures. I had a couple of lamps that were 3-way but I changed them to the single switch that toggles back and forth. It was easy to add the base for a new harp. I’m using them with regular LED bulbs. If you don’t want the cord to go through the bottle and come out at the bottom, this is the way to go.

We had a magnum wine bottle, really pretty label and all, and wanted to make a lamp. I have never done such a thing and found this kit on Amazon. Voila! I did it. In just minutes. The only thing I’d suggest is a way to drill a hole in the bottle to feed the cord through instead of having it outside the bottle. But I just taped the cord to the bottle back and no one can see it. Awesome kit. THanks.

The kit is good for the money. Very DIY friendly. The big negative for me personally is that it is prewired. I missed that detail. Itâs good for someone who doesnât want to fuss with it but I need another type.

PERFECT AND EASY TO INSTALL!!
I actually used this kit to repair a lamp that I had purchased at Pier One. The electrical switch needed replacing because lightbulb would always flicker. I love the base of the lamp and the shade so I hated to just throw it away. Your kit was simple to install and the on/off switch and side exit was what i needed!! Thank you!!

easy to put together
I made a milk bottle lamp and was planning on drilling a hole into the bottle so as to use a traditional lamp wiring, but this kit has the wire coming off the side so I do need to make the hole (and potentially crack the bottle). I used a cork (instead of the rubber stoppers that were more for wine/soda bottles than milk) that I had drilled into and the lamp came out great!
