Great product!
This product is very matte, so it doesn’t give the illusion of having product in your hair. It’s great for men’s beard, to give the stragglers hair a good hold without it looking oily like it would with other beard products.

Good pomade, nice smell, hold could be better
I use this in my beard (silver/gray) to keep it under control. Pleasant scent, and some hold for the fly away whiskers. Hold could be better, but that’s just being picky. I think that complaints about the smell being too strong may simply be using too much. I put a tiny amount on a comb, and then comb my beard and it controls without being obvious or wet looking. You can get the wet look by using more, but then you will notice the smell for some time.

Amazing texture & hold. Terrible smell.
Okay, like others have mentioned, this product does have an odd scent. It smells like your grandpas closet or some familiar old people smell. Not something I would want to use to attract modern ladies, they won’t like this stuff. With that said, it’s sad because the texture and hold of this dry paste is amazing! Comparing it to Gibs Original Outlaw & MVRK Dry Paste (love the most & great scent), it really is the best for that matte high volume finish. Great for thin hair. If they could make this with the MVRK scent, home run. I also love that it doesn’t leave a sticky residue, so girls can still run their fingers through your hair without getting grossed out.Great product, just missed the mark on scent.

Great product
My husband continues to use this in a daily basis. It is the perfect styling balm to use and he has no complaints! It’s not an extreme hold, but can keep the style for the day.I’ve used in my son, it last for awhile but then I’d gone by the end of the day. I think hair texture plays a big role in that. Works well for thick course hair compared to fine hair.

Excellent hair wax for men
I wanted something that was not sticky and contained lots of wax. This product delivered and provides all-day hold with a dry matte finish.

Bad smell
Awesome hold & texture, but unfortunately this stuff does not smell good at all. Wouldn’t recommend.

Cohesion
With just a little bit of product my mustache becomes a cohesive unit, taming fly always and keeping shape. It doesn’t harden up or create a sticky or crunchy hair texture. It also smells like antiquity, which my girlfriend likes despite being sensitive to fragrances.

The best! Normally….
I have been buying this product for a couple of years and haven’t found anything to match it. However my last two orders have not had a seal under the lid and has been grainy as well as the smell is off.

I’ve tried a ton of different pomades, clays, putties, fibers, you name it… from my barber – American Crew, Redken, Billy Jealousy, Baxter of California. You name it, I’ve tried them. I’m so glad I gave Victory’s pomade a chance because I absolutely love it.First, the smell is perfect, it has this very unique kind of sweet smell. I thought with the description saying tobacco it was going to smell smokey, but its more of a sweet, but still masculine smell. Huge fan.The hold is perfect – it’s quite a strong hold, but I wouldn’t say it goes as far as making the hair “crispy.” I have a couple annoying cowlicks and it deals with those nicely. Definitely more for people looking for more of a polished, formal, tight, in-place look (think Don Draper vibes) – if you’re going for some sort of messy/natural look, this isn’t for that. It also easily washes out with just water.Lastly, the colour – probably the coolest thing in my opinion, I’ve been using the product for about 2 and a half months (and nearing the end of one tin with daily use), and I can definitely see that my bit of grey hairs shine just a little bit more. It’s a nice little touch.Anyways… I don’t normally write these ridiculously long reviews, but I saw so many negative reviews on here that I wanted to contribute. I love this product, AND it’s a Canadian brand as well, can’t go wrong.

I watched some bearded unicorn recommend this but I didn’t like it.It’s a strong hold pomade and I prefer oils/wax, that’s my fault. But it smells like pine o clean. Yuck.

Having long (8inch), thick and straight hair, it’s hard to find a product that provides enough hold while maintaining a natural feel and look. This clay did a very good job. Application in dry hair is pretty good, not overly tuggy, and it was able to maintain a natural looking sidepart for most of an office day. Hair would stay in place under normal conditions, excessive movement or wind would blow it out, but the product can be restyled pretty easily. It also provided nice texture and decent volume for my hair. Finish was matte to natural. I’ve used other clays that were so matte, it made my hair look drier than it actually was. My only gripe and reason I returned was because of the potency of scent. The description says clean laundry, I can see that. It’s not the wind blown or dried smell of laundry, like pulling it off a line, it’s the very concentrated smell of laundry detergent right out of the container. The smell itself is fine, it’s just that it is so strong. Working at my desk, it was all I could smell all day, my eyes were getting watery and my face res and itchy. If it weren’t for the potency of the scent, I could use this daily or include it in my regular rotation. I tend to be more sensitive to scent, but my personal opinion is if people in the room can smell me, it’s too much. Anyways, some people will enjoy the strength of the scent, unfortunately that can’tinclude me. This would be one of my favorites if scent were negligible or if they offered an unscented alternative.

This is by far the best pomeade you will find on the market. Texture, hold, smell, moldability are all 5/5. At $25 a can I only use this product for special occasions, not my everyday product. Please bring price down a bit!!!

I have dense, thick hair so I usually use a small amount of clay in damp hair to hold its shape and separate it a little. This stuff has okay hold and doesn’t seem to flake, but it lacks staying power. As for the scent, it’s very strong notes of tar and pine and … fuel maybe. Not completely unpleasant but it’s trying really hard to be stereotypically masculine and overdoes it while coming across as artificial. So you get what you pay for. This is okay but for $20 more I’ll stick to my Kevin Murphy hair product and be completely satisfied with it. Lasts forever anyway since I don’t use much at a time. I won’t buy this product again.
