Canât Believe I Bought These 4 Years Ago
I purchased the Eye keeper 3-Pack Stainless Steel Frame Half-Eye Style Reading Glasses Readers +0.75 4 years ago (October 2015) & have been using them daily. Iâm using a pair now to right this review. I keep a pair by my chair, on my nightstand & my wife keeps a pair in her purse for me to use when weâre out. For the price I wasnât expecting much. They didnât seem to be very sturdy when looking at them, but I still have all 3 in pretty much the same condition as the day I received them. The lenses are plastic, the frame is a thin stamped metal, the temples are thin wire arms & the temple tips are thinly coated w/plastic. The glasses are extremely light & feel fairly comfortable around the ears The pad arms are very thin wire & the nose pads are a stiff rubber that has a small amount of movement. Overall the nose pad & arms are comfortable. However, if youâd wear them for extended time, I do not think theyâd remain comfortable. For reading for an hour or two, theyâre fine. If your rough on glasses, drop them, sit on them or throw them in a drawer, then they will not last. Even then though, for a couple dollars a pair, how long would you need to have & use them to feel you got your moneyâs worth? I know Iâve gotten more than my moneyâs worth.

Not comfortable
Sorry, but these are not comfortable. They pinch my temples, the nose pieces do not move to adapt, the glasses overall are very stiff. I’ve used a couple of other brands of inexpensive reading glasses and they were markedly better than these. What I do like is that I could get three the same color.

Minimal and functional
Needed some reading glasses that wouldn’t break the bank. For the price, these are hard to beat. Not the most fashionable – but I do like the minimal metal frames. Would have been nice if a slim traveling case were included – but once again, can’t complain for the price point that these were offered. Not sure how durable they are – but they are scattered around the house for the occasional need that I have – so they aren’t going to get abused or used heavily. So far, they fit my needs very well.

The price is too good to be true! Lenses are OK quality. Certainly usable but build quality is poor but then what should we expect for glasses that cost £2 a pair? The lens cracked and a lump fell off on one pair within 15 minutes of use. Maybe I was unlucky but I sent mine back as I don’t want to take a risk on safety. If you’re luckier then they’re ideal to leave dotted around the house, work, car, etc.

Mit zunehmendem Alter verliert der Glaskörper im Auge an Elastizität.Das ist eine ganz normale Erscheinung die jeden betrifft. Das führt dazu, dass ich (inzwischen über 50) eine erste Lesebrille brauche, um etwa ein kleingedrucktes Buch zu lesen. Die normalen Lesebrillen holen den fokussierbaren Bereich aber so nahe heran, dass ich den Computerbildschirm in 1 Meter Entfernung dann nicht mehr scharf sehe. Für mich ist im Moment als erste Computerbrille eine Brille mit + 0,5 Dioptrien Dioptrien gut geeignet, da ich damit einen fokussierbaren Bereich von etwa 40 cm bis 150 cm habe. Brillen mit diesen schwachen Korrekturen sind aber nicht im Drogerie um die Ecke erhältlich. Diese Brillen trage ich gerne, da sie leicht sind, und ich auch über den oberen Rand in die Ferne sehen kann. Für die Lieferung aus Fernost viel Zeit einplanen (bei mir mehrere Wochen).Viele GrüÃeChristian
