These Earpads gave my trusty old Sony MDR-XB950B1 headphones a new life. (Edit: Added pictures)
Ok, I bought my Sony MDR-XB950B1 headphones used from eBay, I forget but its been at least a decade for sure. I paid like $35 for them and they sound fabulous. I even have much newer pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and they are great too but they are NOT better than these MDR-XB950B1 and the XM4s were like ~$200 ON SALE. Anyhow I prepared for my new earpads by pulling off my old earpads and reinstalling them a few times. I got it down pretty good but it still took me a good 20 minutes to get the new ones on. I was patient and took my time, I suggest you do the same thing if you are in the same boat I am in. Anyhow, I installed the earpads earlier today and just took my dog for a 3 mile walk and WOW I got a huge sound quality boost with the nice new and snug earpads! 5 Stars Across the Board.BTW when I first got these I compared them to my original Sony Earpads and they are identical but these are better built. I hope these and I also imagine these will be the last pair of earpads I should have to buy for these. But if they lasted forever that would be great. I will buy a new set of these every couple a years. All Smiles.Edit: Added a few pictures. I wish I saved the old earpads because they were flat out nasty, these turn some old junk looking headphones that sounded great into a ~brand new set! The head cushion is a zip on type and its not as pretty as these earpads, but it works just as good! Both upgrades were money well spent!

These work; getting them on takes patience
I tried to put these on my Sony headphones. Tricky business. You have to use both hands; one to hold the first section you slip into the crevice and the other to work around the circumference of the earphone. Definitely doable. Watch YouTube videos.

Much thinner than the originals!
On the positive side, they fit well. They also have the same soft texture as the original, but they are much thinner and don’t feel as comfortable because of that. 3 star product.

Looks and feels like new!
I like these replacement pads! They were a little challenging to put on, but once I got them on, they look & feel like new.

super comfy and way more durable but…
i was super skeptical about buying the mesh versions of these just because there wasn’t any reviews so i got these ones and a normal protien leather pair. safe to say these work great!! super comfy and breathable and great for the price. I wanted something more sturdy so i didnt have to keep buying the leather ones (sony users know how fast they come apart) and these are just what i was looking for.on the downside though I noticed the bass isn’t as prominent (i have mdr-xb950bt) which are bass boosted and these mesh replacements deplete a little bit of the bass. It’s not super noticeable but as long as your not super duper picky about your bass or an audiophile i think you’ll be happy with these!
