slightly disappointed but still great arm
iâve been looking at this arm for a while because it looks great and is affordable and i like fifine. everything comes sort of loose but you can tighten it with the included allen key. the cable management covers are a little tough to get off and might cut you if youâre not careful but theyâre okay after you do it like once or twice. the mic arm is great quality and very adjustable. itâs also compatible with most mics due to the included adapter. now the part i donât really like about it is the ârotatable ball head.â you have to tighten it really tight in order for it to be able to hold your mic up without it falling, which in turn makes it so the paint scrapes off if you rotate it while itâs tight, which i did. my advice is to first find the ideal position for everything, and then tighten it so it doesnât look like the photo above.so i 100% recommend this to anyone who has the budget (because $50 is still a decent amount for a mic accessory considering mode people just use headset mics) and wants a good looking good quality mic arm, just be careful with the ball head thing in order to not scrape the paint off.

It’s pretty Fi-Fine but not great.
I will start of by saying for the price it’s very good. But if I have to be picky there’s a few things it could improve. First off it’s all metal except for a few plastic pieces like the cable cover rails and the ball head tightening knob. The pink color is very good, it’s nearly pastel pink like my Nintendo Joy-Con in Pastel Pink color.Installation was very easy and I really appreciate that the mount has a handle that can be adjusted so it’s always out of the way. I do however find that it takes a lot of force to tighten the two arms together and keep the mic from sagging and even then it’s not as tight as I would like it to be.On mine there are a few spots where the paint was scratched out of the box, the mold of the metal is also hit and miss in some spots. The my biggest issue is the plastic cable covers. I dread taking them off because they require a lot of force and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it ends up hurting my fingers is some way either from them getting pinched or my fingers hitting sharp metal pieces trying to remove them. They take force and are a pain to re-install.Overall it’s pretty good for what you get and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for those cable covers. The attached picture is an example of the many areas that have chipped paint and there’s a lot, that’s not dirt.

Excellent choice in purchasing a boom arm!
I normally don’t take the time to write reviews, but this boom is extraordinary, and I really wanted to write a review. I had previously had my microphones on a stand on the desk, and I can tell you that it makes so much of a difference in the sound quality if the microphone is faced directly in front of me and close to my face. The range of motion is exquisite, and it is wonderful that I can move the microphone to the other side of the desk, and it completely clears the space. The arm itself is very sturdy and amazed at how well it supports the microphone. The availability of having it move in several directions is something that I am looking forward to. I also love that the cables so eloquently hide into the arm itself. I thought that I would have to send the cord into the hole and out the other end, but I was pleased when I realized that there is a plastic cover that easily slides off and then locks back into place, making the cord so easy to install or change if need be. The arm has space of over an inch and one-half that would allow any cord to be used. I currently use a USB C, but many other types of cords could be used with as much ease. I highly recommend this product, it is very high quality and professional! Worth the money, quality product.

Iâve been through SO many boom mic stands for my desk and this one is by far the best. The price point was higher than I hoped, but I decided to take the splurge simply for the fact that the clamp is big enough to fit over the edge of my desk. The way my desk is built, it is SO difficult to find a *sturdy* clamp that opens wider than 2â which is what I needed. So I decided to buy this just for that reason and I will never look back! Also realized that FIFINE is the same brand as the mic I bought a long time ago. After this, Iâve decided I love FIFINE products. I am very pleased with how it looks, how it hides the wires, and how clean it made my set up. It is so sturdy. THANK YOU!!

Pros:Does the Job. Moves freely but with some resistance when screws are tightened down. Doesn’t feel sloppy (at least out of the box, time will tell) You can tell its not 200 dollar Boom arm but in day to day use it doesn’t seam like it will make a difference.Looks reasonably clean. It it just a single bar design. The logo on the front is a bit in your face but if you view the pictures I added you can see that I removed mine and it looks much better.Excellent mounting versatility. The thread adapters fit my microphone perfectly (Elgato wave 3 with gimble mount) and seams they would fit most any. Above all it can be mounted upside down to the bottom of the desk and the clamp can be removed to allow it to mount with a screw. The stand off that the boom arm mounts to is hollow with a flange at the bottom that works well with heavy thread pan head screw.Functional easy to use cable management. Covers slide off and your cables can be laid inside. It is big enough to fit both my headphone cable as well as Microphone cable.Cost. Its cheap and still will deliver the desired performance of most any recreational gamer.Cons:Ball mount to the microphone has limited range of motion. If your boom arm is at a downward angle, coming from the side of your desk, mounted on top, it can not be adjusted to bring the microphone all the way back to vertical. If your microphone does not have a side to side adjustment it will sit at an angle which is more then anything aesthetically annoying. you hopefully will be able to adjust the mounting location in such a way that its not an issue. Does not seam to be an issue when undermounting the mount. It also sits a fair ways off the desk. If your monitors are less then 4 1/2 inches off your desk the first segment of the boom arm will not clear them.I included some pictures of how I set mine up. Decided to write a long detailed review because I was surprisingly pleased with this product and hope be helpful to others in choosing their products.
