Sturdy, well-made, and my 3 cats love them!
When I visited my brother, he had 2 of these for his cats, so I couldn’t wait to order my own when I got home. Since I have 3 cats, I ordered two scratchers. They arrived quickly, with a little pack of catnip!My cats LOVED them right away and still do. They play, climb and take naps on these every day. Size is large – about 36″ long, 10″ wide, 10″ tall. So it is substantial! Very sturdy and nearly impossible for a cat to tear it up. I rate this product A++

Perfect size
Originally I got these for my own cats. So when a stray started following me on my nightly walks, then figured out where I lived, well, things just escalated quickly. I figured he might like to have a similar set up. So I ordered three of these. I used a ryobi drill to poke a hole at the tops of the cardboard, and passed a total of 4 hair elastics tied in a tight knot through said holes. Et voila! Now I have a happy stray who absolutely loves his cardboard scratcher bed. He actually does play with the balls, which is cute. Not all our visitors to our cat restaurant (he told some friends) play with the toys, but he does.There are different price points on amazon, so I suggest carefully looking. At the time of purchase, I saw it being sold by amazon for $36, and again by amazon for $17. Sooo… This review is for the $17 one. They are the same size as the ones I originally purchased 2 years ago for $22. They do not come lined on the bottom, so if your cat is a fiend for catnip, it will end up on the floor. All the cats, my two indoor, and this new one, love these scratchers for doing big stretchies, and scratching… maybe he will retire from being a tnr’d outdoor cat and enjoy our ac someday…Im working on it. Til then little schnitzel is king of the yard. Wish us luck!

My cats favorite scratcher
This is become my cats, favorite scratcher. It’s a great size and she often will just lay on it as well. It has become a piece of furniture for her as well as something she can sharpen her nails on. It goes really well in my living room and matches my furniture.

Best aesthetically that I could find for under $30
I don’t know why cat products are so high priced. They are basically just cardboard. This one was the cutest I could find for a reasonable price. No I don’t think it’s worth $30 but what can you do. However my cats do love it. They fought over who would lay there last night. My Mooch won and slept on it all night.I don’t expect it to last for years but it is good that once one side is destroyed you can flip it.The side is wood style contact paper over cardboard so don’t expect real wood.

Almost returned for size, glad I didn’t
So, this is smaller than I expected from the pictures. I don’t think the listed dimensions are wrong, but I’m not always great at translating written measurements so I tend to rely on pictures.When I got this & saw the size I didn’t think it was going to be big enough for any but my tiniest cat who is maybe 8lbs despite being fully grown. My cats disagreed.I have one cat who is too big for this, but he’s extra long. All of the others fit, sit, and love this thing. Enough that there has been hissing over it.I think the next similar thing I buy will be a larger one for my biggest cat, but I don’t regret this at all. It’s sturdy, reasonably priced, and cat approved.

YAY!! The perfect size for a bigger kitty!

It’s about time! The search is over — this is the perfect size scratcher-lounger for a larger cat. Our big orange boy Charlie was all over this thing within 5 seconds of it being put down on the floor. (Not exaggerating!) His sister Zoe, who is a bit smaller, loved to stretch out on it, full length, whenever Charlie wasn’t around. I ended up buying another one for her a couple days later. Now we have them side-by-side in their play area and we have two very happy cats. More pluses: The cardboard surface is dense and sturdy, it will stand up to rough play and has not shed a lot of cardboard pieces yet. They love the balls in the end grooves, too! Charlie has figured out how to pop them out, but I just put them back in and he’s a happy camper, ready for more play. Other balls and favorite toys can be easily tucked inside, too. SO glad I bought these, seeing them so content makes my day.

This seems like a lot of money to spend on a piece of cardboard for your cat to slowly destroy, but my cat loves this so much. He is not a small cat, and this scratcher is big enough for him to stretch out on. He spends most afternoons hanging out on the scratcher when he’s not giving his claws a workout on it. Mercifully, he ignores the jingle toys.

This is the longest lasting scratcher we have owned. It’s also my cats favorite scratcher in the house. The original one is still intact after 3 years and we only purchased it again because we need a second for another area in the house. Our original was $40 and now it’s almost $50. Yes, it is expensive for a chunk of cardboard. But it is durable and long lasting, and dumb cat owners like me keep buying it so…
