Simple, Hardy but Overpriced = Fair Value
I’m Pumpkin, a green-cheeked conure, and I’ll translate my video commentary for those who don’t speak parrotlet:The Bird Perch with Ladder seems like a good chewy and exercise thing, I guess, although I’m afraid of change and haven’t really climbed on it yet. My human put a few sunflower seeds on it yesterday, and I was brave enough to lean over and grab them, but I’m still unsure about using it.I do have a question about the type of wood, though- my human told me the product details say that it’s “natural wood.” Duh. Is there unnatural wood? I’d like to know exactly what it is, though. Some woods are better for beak grinding, and some aren’t good for me to ingest. I think this one is cedar, but it doesn’t smell like cedar. Could be a type of pine, although it seems harder than most pines. The plastic beads and little bell perchy doodad isn’t really my thing either. Part of that is just me, but it’s also just a bunch of cheap plastic beads. My human is more discriminating, and usually avoids putting things in my palace whose ingredients or elements are unknown. I am a princess, you know.I guess I’ll get used to it, and probably end up chewing it and pooping on it just to make sure. But it’s really just a stick with four wood cookies screwed to it. Ten bucks I’d understand, but $22 is way too much. Not to spend on me; I’m precious. I mean that the wooden ladder thing is too much. It’s impossible to spend too much money on me. In future, I’d recommend he sticks to the apple and citrus branches he clips- those are free and good for me.Shriek,Princess Pumpkin
