My Dogs Are Crazy About It
I started using the BAYPIE Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food Chicken & Pumpkin Recipe as a topper for my senior dogs’ homemade food. They love the food I make, but I like to add toppers for them so they can get any minerals and vitamins they might be missing from the homemade. I usually choose a freeze dried raw, such as this one from BAYPIE. The product page describes this food as “minimally processed, no fillers, no hormones, no preservatives, no antibiotics, 5% organic fruits and vegetables, and 95% Premium Butcher-Cut Chicken & Organs.” It also states that all the ingredients are “100% traceable.” I love that. And my dogs love the taste. I also like the nugget form of the food; my dogs are small so they need to be able to get it in their mouths. With some raw freeze dried patties or nuggets, a lot of the formed food breaks down with bag handling, shipping, etc., and there are a lot of crumbs at the bottom of the bag. I can sprinkle that over their food, but I prefer they get the pieces of the food and not crumbs. The BAYPIE food has minimal breakdown/crumbs at the bottom of the bag. Another plus. In fact, my dogs and I love the BAYPIE freeze dried raw that I have added it to my monthly Amazon Subscribe & Save order. A 14 oz bag is priced at $29.99 on Amazon, but at the time of this writing, it is 10% off. This price point is totally in-line with, and actually a bit less, than other raw freeze dried dog foods of this quality. I highly recommend it.

Amazing!
Absolutely love these patties. Minis so they are perfect for food toppers or as a high value treat! My boxers gobble their meals with these patties added with some warm water mixed in to create a little gravy!

He absolutely goes nuts for these treats! They’re super easy for him to chew because they break down into a soft, powdery texture with almost no effort. I’ve been giving these to him as a dry treat, and he’s always eager for more. I love that the ingredients are simple and wholesome, so I feel good about giving them to my dogs regularly. It’s such a relief to find a treat that’s not only healthy but also something he genuinely enjoys. These have quickly become a staple in our house, and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Unusual texture but they love it!
It works great for training treats but its a little different in texture compared to other FD foods, so it doesnt crumble quite as well as a food topper. I love that it includes veggies, and you get a lot of individual pieces for the price.

I have a very particular eater on my hands. This is the only food he’ll consistently finish. The texture and flavor must be just right for him, because he devours it every time. I’m so happy I found this food.

Plastic Contaminants!
This food seemed too good to be true as the price point was very affordable for comparable types of freeze-dried, dog foods. I already noted some red flags with the strange sentences (“crafted in THE AMERICA”). If you have free time, read the “our story” paragraph on the back of the bag…. didn’t have a happy ending and unfortunately the unhappy story continues. I am assuming the production process includes extruding the meat product into plastic sleeves and then mechanically slicing them at some point with the product still in the plastic. See photos for why I came to this conclusion. This is not safe for your furry friend. Even if the plastic wrap is removed, I guarantee there are bits of tiny plastics in the food from the cutting process. I do not recommend.
