Rose Scented and Pink Box of Pleasures!
The box is really pretty! It doesn’t have any print on it so it’s really reusable.Candle: The candle is very messy looking. There is wax smeared all over the glass and there is a brown inclusion inside (see photo). The smell is very light. It’s roses and some “sticky” smell (kind of like spit or something). I took a star off for thi sand the fact the card is very messy and drops debris on you when you open it…Soap: It’s so pretty and smells of roses. It’s not a headache inducing scent. It’s light and pleasant. It’s not cloying. It doesn’t really lather, but I do feel it cleans. It leaves my hands dry afterward but it’s been really, really dry here lately so it might not be the soap’s fault (the humidity in my room is at 20% today). The band with the ingredients on it says it has gold leaf in it (see closeup of cardboard band), but I didn’t see anything.Card: The baby’s breath flowers have been dyed a hot pink. A lot of them have crumbled in the bag and is kind of empty. It’s made of nice matte card stock. The sentiments read (sic):Especially for youTo see a world in a grain of sand.And a heaven in a wild flower .I guess it’s okay? It’s a bit odd…Cup: I like the lid! It has a drinking lid and a straw hole that can be plugged up. The straw hole is lined in silicone for less spillage 🙂 The paint on the cup is really smooth. The letters are raised and feel smooth and interesting. It was easy to hand wash and drink out of. The only thing that bothers me is that the gray straw thing has picked up the scent of roses from the other items in the box and my green tea smells (and kind of tastes) like roses. These usually come with straws, but this one didn’t.Bath Salts and Bombs: Life has blessed me with another bout of rashes yesterday so I could not use these. It would be nice to keep in mind that these probably won’t work for those with sensitive skin. The rose scents are pretty strong.It’s okay, except for the candle.

Here’s what you get: A metal beverage holder/stemless tumbler with a nice lid that has a seal to prevent leaks. A bar of handmade soap that’s really pretty. A bath bomb. A mineral-rich bath salts. A candle in a jar. A pop-up birthday card. A hair band.The package is much more fragrant than I expected, and while the scent is pleasant, it’s a little overwhelming for me.My favorite item in the box is the pink tumbler. I absolutely love it! While all the items are beautiful, this one definitely stands out.Everything in the box is nice. Since this gift comes with the card inside, it might be a good idea to have it sent to you first, so you can fill out the card before gifting it to the recipient.

It’s perfect for a teen or someone you don’t know too well and don’t know what to get. This has something for everyone. The items are cute!

Reusable containers for candle & salts are both thick durable glass
One thing I always look for in a gift set is reusability. A bath bomb is a great indulgence for about an hour max, but a sturdy reusable votive candle holder can potentially last the rest of the recipient’s life! This set is an excellent balance between the two. The bath bomb, soap, bath salts, and votive candle are small single-use luxury items. However, that is well matched with the thickness and durability of the candle holder and bath salts jar. The insulated cup and scrunchie, while not as durable, are obviously intended to be multi-use too, but even the card, outer gift box, and shredded paper all have the potential to be used again (albeit only as decoration in the case of the card.)The one negative is the “Mamma needs coffee” sentiment printed on the outside of the insulated cup. This does bring down the overall tone of the set and limits potential recipients to people who identify as female and drink coffee or who aren’t particular about what’s printed on their drinkware. But, sadly, most gift sets I see for sale these days seem to feel the need to include at least 1 item with a tacky saying emblazoned on it, no matter how much that limits the marketability of the overall set.
