Nice bright lights, lots of features, but one weird problem
Updated review: After posting this, Govee reached out and offered a full refund of the product which was greatly appreciated. At some point during my troubleshooting between the original review and their message, I must have managed to factory reset the lights and they appear to be working again. We’ve had good luck for at least the past 2 weeks and the kids love them. As I said before, they’re great lights, albeit a bit too bright at the lowest power setting, that’s a minor complaint since they belong on a tree and not attached above a bed. All the same, I didn’t accept the refund but I’ll be ordering a second set of these in the coming weeks. Customer service reaching out so quickly encouraged me to buy some additional Govee products so I’ll also be trying their table lamp and some RGB strip lights to go with it. Absolutely recommend these to anyone wanting some unique and great quality lights for their tree or house.Original review: I ordered these to be installed above the bottom bunk of a bunk bed. My kiddo loves them, the various scenes, etc. They’re bright, maybe too bright for my use case, even at 1%, but they’d be perfect on a tree. Overall they feel like a good quality product with a well developed app, easy integration with Google Home and Amazon Alexa both. Expensive, but you get a really nice quality product for the money.One quirk though… After updating the lights, they no longer turn off. I can adjust brightness and scenes, but they just flicker off for a quarter of a second and then kick back on. The only way to turn them off is to unplug them. I haven’t gotten to a point of resetting them but I’ll get there. I suspect they’ll end up working fine after, or I’ll have to return them. I hope that it doesn’t come to that but we’ll see

I had ordered a different brand of lights that was a failure/wouldnât work at all and I will admit I didnât have high hopes just in case but omg these lights are perfect and are a must buy!! The app works just as it says and itâs so easy to connect and learn the different options I was shocked! Will be sticking to this brand from now on very good quality! Love how bright the lights are too!

The best smart lights so far!
I have been on the hunt for Christmas smart lights that I can use more than just Christmas time.Durable- They seem durable when I rilled them out. I love that they arenât twisted in a way that they will âuntwistâ and be annoying. They have even held through my cat biting them while I was setting up the app.App- Probably the best app I have worked with. I have only had them up a day, but I love all the features. A lot of scenes to choose from, I M really impressed. You can pick a scene, set it to music, set it to game mode (Way to go Govee!), and even a DIY function to create your own scene. I am really impressed.Brightness- I feel it has ample brightness and the 1% for low light is par for the course. I wouldnât put them up in a room to sleep it. There is 33ft of lights, doesnât matter if they are at 1% or not, they will still give off too much light for me to sleep with. Just my opinion.I am so impressed that I am going to buy more for Christmas presents!

They look great
I have a few govee products already and wanted to add these to the collection. They work great, look great and are easy to use. They have plenty of presets that are good for most occasions and can be easly be customized. Ive had one set outside for almost a year now and they are on almost every night and ive had no durability issues. Govee has been great for us. No major issues, and when something came up it was handled right away

I gave it four stars only because it’s a bit pricey for 33 ft and it gets even more expensive with the more feet you get. Other than that I like that you can change the color of the lights and that it has an app to control it

Awesome Outdoor Lights
We tried so many different lights to put on our house without drilling holes, and all of them were way too heavy for the supplied adhesive – until we got these. The string is very lightweight and the cord blends in great to our trim. The app is really easy to use – though not as full featured as the permanent outdoor lights or LED strips, but works great for our purposes. We ended up using packing tape and it’s holding up great even in below-freezing weather. The power box is covered, but we may put a small piece of Tupperware around it to keep it extra dry. I’m really excited to continue to use these lights throughout the holiday season and beyond!

I own several Govee lights and other devices and picked up these lights for my Christmas tree. Super easy to control with the app and by using Alexa. The scenes are fun to experiment with if you want some âactionâ to your lights, or simply select a uniform colour for a more classic look. In either case the lights are very nice to watch. The 66ft string provides perfect coverage for a standard size Christmas tree. Highly recommend!
