First I was very impressed that it was delivered the same day as I ordered it!! Wow! My other ‘freebee’ light finally bit the dust (solder joint corroded) so I saw this and spontaneously ordered it. It came later the same day. Excellent. I ordered two and was so glad I did.
These lights are, well, perfect. Small and so lightweight they will easily stay attached on a paperback novel. Operated by the one push button – so simple.
BUT the real plus are the multiple settings available. Ok, it’s LED but there is a setting for an ‘orange’ type light that is warmer and less fatiguing than the bright ‘blue’ light of LED as we know it. The blue is still there but the orange is like the old style filament and much easier on the eyes if you wish it. It’s more restful than some regular lights. You can still have the bluer and brighter light as well, OR also combine the two in a full-on setting. Nice!
And then on top of that, by holding the button you can gradually DIM the light intensity as well on all settings if it proves to be too bright, so you really have as much flexibility as you’re likely to need. When you switch it off It also stays on that setting until you change it again which is kinda nice.
I read it lasts 80 hours on a low setting which is almost enough to get through “War and Peace”. lol.
The internal battery is charged by a micro USB socket, much like the iPad socket. Nice!! I hated buying batteries. It charges very quickly and there is a red light which changes to green when fully charged on the side of the until. Added to that is an LED display of 4 lights, each incrementally measuring the battery charge left.
The neck is FULLY adjustable and moves very easily. Even the clamp has had some thought behind it and features a kind of hinge which presumably allows it to fit different size books more easily.
I can’t think of a single thing it could improve on so I really recommend this item.
I small tip is to use the thicker section of a paperback novel to support the light or you’ll have problems with stability. It makes a good bookmark as well as it’s so unobtrusive and light.
I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend it for any book enthusiast.

This is a great little light, I love that it can clip onto my book and that it has a white light, blue light and a warm yellow light option.
It has great battery life and works great in a dimmer room.
To be honest though, I settled into my bed and excitedly opened my book and clicked on this light and my spouse and I burst into laughter. The light was as bright as my lamp. It illuminated the entire dark room and reflected off the white pages of my books directly into my corneas searing them with the light of a thousand suns. No sneaky reading late into the night while others sleep with this one!
I’ve used it a lot while reading during the day but I was hoping for something I could use for reading late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse haha

Extremely content with the product, the warm color mode is what I was looking for, it puts me at ease for some reason, and it’s bright enough, if you hold down the button it’ll adjust the brightness very subtly.

This Gritin 9 LED rechargeable book light is AMAZING. I’ve had it for 8 months and couldn’t be more pleased. It has three different color warmth options and each of those has a wide set of options for brightness level. The whole device is compact and easy to carry and maneuver, fitting easily on the pages of a book or even sitting on its own to provide light. The neck is incredibly flexible and the light source itself is significant enough to pack a punch but not so overwhelming that it bothers others in the room too badly. The charge on this device is spectacular and lasts far longer than I expected, and there is a convenient 5 slot lighted countdown on the base to help you keep track of when you are nearing a need to charge. I think this product is a steal for the price and quality and would buy another in a heartbeat should I need one.
