, The Living World Hay Wheel provides an easy and convenient way to feed hay to small pet mammals. Simply fill it with hay and watch as your pet has fun spinning or rolling it around. You can even add treats for extra appeal. The Hay Wheel encourages natural foraging behavior and is an enticing way to provide essential nutrients. Pets can access hay on the front, as well as on the sides through carrot-shaped openings. The Hay Wheel can be used 3 ways: installed on the cage, placed on a stand, or free-standing, enabling your furry friend to roll it around. In all cases, the hay remains fresh and clean. Yuuuuummy!
I bought this for my guinea pig & he loves it! It keeps him entertained & stretched out. I also don’t have to refill it more than usually twice a week, so that saves me some extra time. It’s very sturdy & very much worth the price! Definitely a must buy for your little animals! Very handy to be able to hang it or sit it in the cage.

I love this, perfect for my Guinea pigs!
This balances perfectly on the Guinea pigs cage wall, and they are able to pull all the hay out of it. My older Guinea pig, Cassie, gets to excercise by reaching up to eat her hay. This works well standing upright in their cage or just on the wall.Guinea pigs will always make a mess of their hay (in my experience, at least). But with this. the mess is much reduced and it looks safer for their eyes.

Overall good product
We got this for our bunny. He was small when we first purchased it. He has since grown quickly. Honestly sometimes I feel like he grew over night…. Along with his diet. He has recently started to eat so much that we will have to fill this twice a day. It is a pretty good size. He just like to eat.. it is quite sturdy. We used to just have it sitting in his cage but learned that it was more comfortable for him to mount it on his cage so that it what we do. He has to tug to get some of the hay out and I think he gets frustrated sometimes. When he becomes in patient he will spin the wheel fast to help loosen it up and spit some out. I will say that I wish the opening of this was bigger because when I grab a handful of hay to put inside it makes a mess, we usually have him right there as soon as he hears the bag however so he usually helps with the mess lol. Overall good product.

Good quality & keeps hay tidy!
This is perfect for my Daughter’s guinea pig. His hay used to be a mess in the pen but this allows him constant acces to plenty of hay, but it keeps the pen neat & tidy. Plus the guinea pig thinks it’s a toy as well as a feeder! He loves to rub on it, bump it, and make it spin!

Good product, required modifications.
I chose this hay wheel, because it looked like a solidly built feeder that should last for years. It is what it appears to be. For quality, I’d give it 5 stars. For functionality though, it’s a 3. The bars are set very close together. I personally believe that it could cause eventual problems for my guinea pigs jaws and teeth. My solution for this is that I’ve cut every 3rd bar, and filed down the edges. This has allowed my piggles better access to their hay, but still keeps it up off the floor of the cage, thus keeping it clean. It does have small hooks to keep it attached to the side of the cage, but my pigs lift it right off, and knock it down. To resolve this, I put zip ties around the bars of the stand, fastening them to the cage.Since the roller can be removed easily from the stand, it is still easy to detach, refill, and replace.

Sturdy and works as expected.
I got this for my guinea pigs. They love to pull the hay out of it. I had in hung on the bars of the cage but they pulled it own and it almost fell on one. I now having standing upright and they just pull it around to get the hay from all sides. It is more stable now that its pressed into the bedding. Since the hay is stuffed inside pretty snugly it makes them work for the hay! I do watch to make sure their little feet don’t get caught. If they get a bigger cage I will buy two!

My Bunny is PSYCHO for this
She can’t get enough of it. We let her out for around 12 hours a day but even though the door is open, she just chills in her cage to eat and spin. She’s never been all that active, we’ve tried toys, games, taking her outside to play in the grass, but she’s just the chillin type, but this really gets her psyched. Only problem is that the hooks aren’t bunny proof: she can very easily take it off the side of her cage. It’s not a big enough problem to reduce a star though.

Not Worth the Risk
While it is a nice size, the construction leaves something to be desired. It hangs loosely on the cage and my guinea pigs were able to get it off just by brushing past it. The worst part is one of pigs got spooked, as GPs tend to do, and got one of her little legs caught. Scared us all to death. Thank God she wasn’t seriously injured.

I’ve had a lot of soft material/soft wood hayracks that my bunnies just pull apart. These metal balls engage and entertain the rabbits and make them feel like they are foraging while they try to get the hay out. They can pull them off the wire mesh, but that’s OK. They don’t get damaged and roll around while the buns have fun trying to get hay out. By far the best design and material for a hay dispenser.

Wheel is bigger than I assumed, great price, great quality, easy to fill. Leo kept pulling it off the bars on accident the first week. Fast shipping with Amazon prime
