I ordered these as it is heading into fall and to help take a little chill out of the hands if needed. The packaging was very good and presentation was good. The hand warmers look like the advertisements, appear to be well constructed and seems like a solid design, and did come with some charge to them. It is nice being able to control the temperature and being able to select one side or have both sides heat. The temperature range is from 40 degree celsius up to 60 degree celsius = 104 degree fahrenheit up to 140 degree fahrenheit The pair can magnetically stick to each other but you may not want to use dual sided heat when you put them together. As for the instructions, it reads like a word salad and if you are not an electronic geek you may find it frustrating reading the instructions. Like most instructions translated from Chinese to English there are subtle errors. So let’s dive in to how to operate these:1. make sure you charge these fully first, they come with some charge but for battery memory – fully charge the units first2. on each side you have a button to contol the warmer – one is down (-) and one is up (+), each one also acts as a power on / off button when you press and hold the button for 2 – 3 seconds3. with power on, you will note the 4 blue light charge indicator lights that represent how much of a charge each unit has.4. when you power the unit on, it will automatically default to 45 degrees celsius (there is now way to change this to fahrenheit). additionally by default the hand warmers are set to dual side heat5. the up / down buttons will change the temperature with each press – note it does not scroll the temperature so 1 click = 1 degree +/- respectively6. to take the warmer off of dual side heating mode, press and hold both the + and – buttons at the same time until the display clears and once it completes it’s screen cycling it will change to single side heating mode and you will now see in “S” in the display window. To change back to dual side heating simply repeat pressing and holding the + and – buttons simultaneous and it will reset to dual heating. Note: dual heating will use more power and drain the battery faster. Additionally, you will want to switch to the single side heating if you are going to connect the 2 handwarmers together via their magnetic capabilities.7. These handwarmers are powered by lithium polyer batteries that contain Aluminum Alloy + ABS&PC. I have no idea what that means or how safe they are. I recommend not leaving these charging unattended and not to let them get wet, punctured / peirced or crushed to avoid any fire hazard or combustion.I do recommend getting these based on price, simple to operate, size and material it is made from, and the mere fact that they work really well. You will not be disappointed.

I’m heading into my fourth year of working overnights in the winter where I spend 2-3 hours a night doing stuff outside. Where I’m at we can dip into single digits for a portion of the season and below zero here and there. There is also the possibility of my clothing getting wet in this environment.My layer and thermal game is pretty good by now but one area that is hard to cope with when it’s that cold (and especially if it’s windy) is keeping my hands from freezing. Some of my co-workers use the one-time chemical hand warming packets but I’m generally not a fan of using not-very biodegradable disposable products as a temporary solution. I saw these and thought I’d give them a go to see how they do.There are two buttons on the top shoulders of each warmer. You can turn them on by holding down either one for a couple of seconds. The led display shows a line going around clockwise and then switches and shows you it’s default setting in celsius (45C). The working range for these is 40C (104F) to 60C (140F). I find the default 45C (113F) to be borderline hot. If you hold both down together to turn it on only one side of the warmer heats up and it shows ‘S’ on the display below the ‘C’. In my testing, the side on which the display is visible is the one that heats up in this mode. If there is a way to switch the display to Fahrenheit I missed it in the instructions, which are choppy English in places but pretty understandable and small but readable print for my +1.0 reader eyes.After turning on they warm up pretty quickly. My estimate for reaching 45C is about 10 seconds. You’ll feel warmth from them after a few seconds. There are magnets embedded in the top and bottom of each warmer. They aren’t particularly powerful. They’re just strong enough to keep them stuck to a fridge, for example. You can stick them together, back-to-back, for storage if you like.They come with two short USB-C charging cables and wrist straps, though I imagine most people will just keep these in their pockets. They also come with a storage pouch which feels like microfiber.There were two things I wanted to test out. I wondered if perhaps these could perform as battery banks for other devices (seems like a logical feature progression). I hooked up a long dead phone to one via a short USB-C to USB-C cable and no bueno. I suppose that is to be expected, since if the feature was there it would probably be advertised. Something to consider for future iterations of the product though.The other thing that I felt needed testing was how long these would last on a full charge. I made sure they were fully charged and took them in to work with me and set them aside on a heat resistant surface and went about my work. They lasted approximately seven hours and fifteen minutes at the default heat setting. I find it somewhat impressive that they both went dead at very close to the same time. That’s some pretty tight battery rating tolerances. Toward the end of the test I also put them in my sweatshirt front pocket and carried them around for a bit. At the default setting they just provide a pleasant warmth for your midsection through the fabric.I will definitely be using these later this season on the bitter nights, and hopefully for years to come.

I purchased this hand warmer set due to the features listed. The warmers had one-sided and two-sided warming as well as magnetic coupling making them into one unit, both of which I used. The functioning of the warmers did as was advertised and expected (with one exception) and performed well in my setting – an office desk!. My mouse hand gets cold during prolonged use during the winter months, so when I’m not using it, I’d perch my hand in my pocket with the warmer to warm it up. That exception was that on the one-sided setting on the lowest heat setting, I only got near 16 hours of operation. Still, not too bad. Unfortunately after about three weeks of use alternating between each warmer, one stopped working and would not power on or charge. The other kept working until the charge was depleted and I repackaged them for return.The racket shape which I thought would be nice wasn’t that comfortable to hold. There was also no Fahrenheit setting, but that was more of a nuisance than a problem, and I knew that when purchasing the product.It was disappointing that the one warmer failed. They were otherwise good warmers. As I eluded to previously, I returned them to Amazon within the return period for a full refund.
