I ordered this in preparation for a conure chick that will be headed my way in the near future! I have experience training lovebirds in the past, so this definitely looks promising to me!I will say that I wouldn’t purchase this perch for any bird larger than a cockatiel or conure…. that’s about the largest size of bird I can see comfortably resting and playing on this.While the perch will take some time to get used to, I suggest buyers building or setting up some kind of makeshift stabilizer for the perch (so that it doesn’t rock). from there, you take a treat and move it side to side (making them lean one way or the other before actually giving it to them). Once the bird is used to that, you gradually start letting it have more wiggle room until the bird is doing it on their own for treats (without any kind of handicap). Remember that teaching tricks does take a while, but once they have it, they’ve got it for life!Other than that, words of encouragement really do go a long way!setup was easy and shipping was fast. not safe for a bird larger than a parakeet
Its advertised for birds up to a conure in size, but when my conure stepped up, it immediately fell/tipped over. It will probably support a budgie or finch with no issues, but not a heavier bird.

Simple design and perfect size for a Cockatiel
Ordered this because I thought it would be fun for my 4 Cockatiel birds. The videos showed similar birds having an absolute blast rocking back and forth on the stand!Assembly is pretty simple. One screw is used to affix the perch to the stand. It even includes a screwdriver to facilitate putting it together. The stand and perch look to to be made well, so I figure it should hold up fairly well over time. It rocks fairly easily back and forth on the smooth curved foot.My birds are slowly taking to the perch, though they are still very much in the ‘what is this thing?’ phase. They will sit and hang out if we put them on it, but they won’t yet approach on their own. Rocking so far has been more accidental (and a surprise) versus intentional. With that said, I fully expect in a few more days they’ll be all over this thing!

Birds didn’t like it very much, but well made.
In concept, this looks like an ideal toy for you budgie, but it just rocks TOO MUCH so they can’t balance much. However, it was easy to install and set up!

Cute rocking perch for your winged friend
I have a young cockatiel who loves new toys and enjoys getting out of his cage even more. Even though his large flight cage is filled with toys and perches, he still wants to get out and hang out with his human family. I decided to get this small perch so he can spend some “outside” time, and this one has a unique twist – it rocks. The idea is the bird will enjoy the rocking motion. Back to that in a second.The perch comes in two pieces, the horizontal perch itself which is attached to a vertical wooden rod to form a “T”, and the rocking base. It also includes a screw and a small screwdriver, to attach the base to the rod. The horizontal perch is made of a nice, natural, and textured piece of wood, which is best for your bird’s feet to keep them from getting callouses. Screwing the rod to the base is quite simple and I had no issues with that simple step. The base rocks just a little, but if you bird is the skittish type, I actually recommend doing what I did: attach the base backwards, so that it lays flat on the floor/table. That way they can acclimate to the perch for a while before you assemble it the way it was intended.So far so good, my cockatiel enjoys sitting on the perch, and I’ll give him a couple weeks to adjust before reassembling the “right” way. Whether he eventually like the rocking motion or not, I have no hesitation in giving this perch a positive rating.
