This hat exceeded my expectations. Keeps your head very warm in cold weather.

I bought this because the forecast was for lots of snow and cold
I made the mistake of putting my old watch-cap in the laundry. It shrank in the dryer. It shrank so much that it was too small to fit my head or the head of any of the myriad stuffed animals and plushies my daughter owns. It was too small to serve even as a mitten. I have big hands.So anyway, it was gonna snow and I had to be out in it and I needed a hat pronto. I wanted a hat with a brim and would cover my ears. This hat was available for next-day and so I bought it because the blizzard was getting ready to turn and howl its way up the coast and I was pressed for time.It arrived on time and I was not disappointed.This is the perfect hat. Nice soft lining on the inside. It kept me warm through the storm and the entire winter, all for less than $15.This year, I will be more picky, and likely spend more, and buy another hat next winter, something that is a little less casual. But this slouchy watch-cap is a keeper. It’s getting washed and going into my bug-out-bag, because it absolutely 5-star works.

I found my new favorite winter hat!
I was looking at a lot of pictures of people living in Wisconsin in the 1950s and they all had hats sort of like this one and I thought to myself “I should get a hat like that.” So I did a search here on Amazon for “brimmed winter hat” or “brimmed beanie” and it lead me to this one. I thought “yeah, that looks like what I’m looking for,” and picked out the dark green army color and ordered it because I needed a winter hat, anyway. It came in the mail a few days later and I’m pretty pleased with it so far! It’s a very bold fashion statement, and gives you a look that, I think, challenges people.One thing I like about it is that it completely covers your ears, eliminating the need for something like earmuffs. I wore it out today when I walked downtown in search of a phone repair shop to get my phone’s charger port repaired at and it’s the middle of November as of the time I’m writing this and it rained today so it was particularly cold. This hat, coupled with a sweater and jacket I was wearing, kept me warm in the frosty temperature. I found a phone repair shop, dropped my phone off for repairs then went grocery shopping, I later returned downtown and picked up my now-functioning phone and walked several city blocks back to my car, staying warm the whole time. So I’m pretty pleased with this hat.Some people have said the hat seems to be made out of cheap material. I’ve only had it a few days so I can’t say that for certain but I don’t think it’s very cheap. It’s a twelve dollar hat, which is, I guess, a normal price for a hat. I don’t buy many hats so it’s really hard to say what the price of a hat should be, or how high the price of a high end hat is or whatever but I think twelve dollars was a fair price for this hat and I really like the color. Like I said, I got the dark green “army” color because I already own a few black or gray hats and I wanted something different for a change. I’d say, all in all, it’s a very good hat for the price and that you should pick it up if you want to make a bold fashion statement for the winter.

Fleece line, durable and fashionable. Helps in the Canadian cold.
